Morning Ally, that sounds lovely :D

Morning everyone :) Guess wot? It's raining again, but thankfully the threatened breach of the Severn last night at Alney, just north of the city, didn't happen so the city is flood free as yet 8-) Fingers crossed for the high tide later today! I am so glad we live on high ground but feel sorry for the flooded out......

Plans today? My nails and hair are a state! I need a haircut desperately, my fringe is like the Dulux dog at the moment, and my nails are growing out  I feel a trip to get them sorted coming on.......Harry won't want to come but Mick is here so he'll be happy enough to stay home 8-)

Have a good day everyone, stay safe if the weather is bad where you are ((((x)))) xxx

Morning :)
Rain.

Bb's here today; plan A is going to the next town, to Morrisons who have steak on offer, and to Lidl for bits and pieces.
Plan B is going only as far as Waitrose, up the road, or M&S Food in the town.
Plan A will only happen if the rain eases off or stops for quite a while - not that we mind getting wet, it's the roads that are the problem!

Good luck Debih and hope L is ok (((x)))
Ah Rodo our post doesn't usually arrive till much later ;)
I did my nails yesterday Kaz - finally - which consists of chopping them all down and letting them start all over again :D
Try and have a good day all
Di

Ps  Kaz not the best of combinations

Morning all and happy Valentines!

Usual work day for me. Meant to be a wet and windy day again to day (it's been drizzling on and off all morning) and I'm hoping that the three dodgy fence panels in the garden survive today. That gives me the weekend to prop them up a bit if necessary so they are OK until I can get them replaced.

Di - wise move figuring out which is the safer option; it's just so unpredictable out there at the moment

I got my nails done last night - they had grown so long!

Have a lovely day everyone and stay safe and dry x

Morning everyone

Mixed bag, weather wise this mornming, Sun and cloud. Rain this afternoon.

We're inundated with ants in the upstair bathroom, so that's one job for himself to sort out - pronto.

My head is stilll full of cotton wool, as we're popping down to the village later, I'll see what they can recommend in the chemist. Grumpy thinks it's hilarious, as I can't hear what he's saying - it's normally the other way around

Good luck wit hthe hospital Debih and hope you all have a good day xx

morning all,

Cold and dry here at the moment, we had a lovely long lie and scrambled eggs for brekkie :)

Not sure what we are going to do today, last day of Amy's half term holiday (which means last day for me being off too), so will go and get showered and decide what we can do :)

Hope you all have a good day

Ooh good luck with the ants Ton!

Sudafed or equivalent I presume? Hope you get something for it, otherwise it'll have to be the dr again. Fortunately I've never suffered with sinuses but the ex did and it was horrid :( (((x)))

Yes meriad, and Plan A it is  It's been raining hard for hours, the back (mostly paved) garden is a lake; the route is in theory a main road but very narrow, winding - and flooded. There are huge holes at the sides of the road which you can't see and the road's too narrow to go down the middle. The wind is getting stronger and stronger and there are too many trees could come down. I'm not paranoid but after a good lot of years working all through the Forest Bb is only too aware of not taking those kind of risks.
And I've been worrying about the poor sheep, on a farm on that road. The last time we passed that way, their bottom field, nearest the road, was literally a lake (nowhere near a river), and the field the other side of the road looked like a swamp. Poor things.
