It's already 'later' - absolutely hammering down
Am re-thinking dinner to make do with what we've got
There's meat and stuff, it's fresh veg we always run short of - thank goodness for frozen beans!

What atrocious weather. It just gets worse.

When will folks believe that global warming is due to our activities
and that, if nothing is done about it, future generations will curse
us for ruining the planet. The answer is "Not until it's too late".

Goodness me, what weather we're having!

Afternoon all! It's so wet and blustery here today. I went shopping after I'd been to the gym and was I glad to get home? I was so windswept, and my jeans were soaked through! Needless to say, Billy's not yet been for his first walk of the day

I bought Tom a really nice t shirt for his birthday from Asda - it 's a Coca Cola one and was half price at £4. I also got the M&Ms and Cadbury's Fingers that I need to decorate his Big Bang Theory birthday cake

Not sure what to do with the rest of the day, the beds are changed and the washing machine's doing the first load but that'll all have to wait until tomorrow to get dried. John's away overnight for a meeting in Durham first thing tomorrow, I think Joe's going to youth club tonight and Tom will probably be revising in his room as he's doing AS mocks this week and next so it looks like the remote will be mine this evening!

Bright and sunny here, think we're in the right place, the weather back home looks terrible. Hope you're all keeping safe and dry.

No beach for us today, we're off into Bridgetown. Probably won't do much shopping, just take a mooch round some of the older buildings. We're having a week without the car from this weekend so thinking about arranging a round the island tour as there's lots to see. I'm quite happy driving along the coast roads, but inland is a bit different, few to no road signs doesn't help lol Surprisingly given the island is only 20 miles long, 14 miles wide, when you do get lost, and that happened a lot last year, the locals can't give directions and often haven't even heard of where you're aiming for

I got to Sainsbury's after all. Mick saw me all bundled up in my jacket, hood up, brolly primed etc about to go out of the door (I'd decided to bus to town to the relative cover of the shops there) and he offered to drop me up at the big Barnwood one, then pick me up afterwards, as he's having a relatively quiet day! So I've done a huge shop for the freezer and store cupboards

The storm has blown over but it's still raining...................
