Carpet,floor cleaner.

Postby KateLMead » 28 Jan 2014, 07:45

I have just ordered the X5 floor/carpet and general steam cleaner, costing £53 (Ithink) from a company called Shambala. on the web...the cost of the same Advertised on TV at a cost of £99.00 I have not had confirmation on my order, and now reading the reviews the cleaner is a waste of money.
I am looking for the company on my computer no luck so far...

If you haven't received confirmation did your order definitely go through Kate?

Usually you would get an automatic confirmation email as soon as you pay.

Can you check with your bank?

You can usually cancel an order before it is despatched, if too late you can usually send it back for a refund as long as it is unused. It isn't law, but is common practice these days........Good luck Kate xx

Oh and I would heartily recommend a Vax cleaner, they are more expensive but they work really well - I would be lost without mine, now we have two dogs and pale carpets! Amazon sometimes have them on sale, we got ours for half price! :)

Kate, under Distance Selling Regulations you have the right to return up to seven working days after you receive the goods. You can return goods even if you just change your mind, unlike buying on the high street. High street shops are under no obligation to take something back if you have just changed your mind though most do.

Kate I've had a search and can't find any trace of a company with that name. I hope you can get it sorted. Have you checked in your spam emails to see if the confirmation has gone there? How about a search in your history to find the website?

Like Kaz, I have a Vax carpet cleaner and I also have a Vax steam mop and although the carpet cleaner broke (but was quickly replaced by Vax), both do a really excellent job. The steam mop is used daily in the kitchen and I wouldn't be without it, it's far more convenient than a mop and bucket and they can be bought for a lot less than the cleaner you mention and can also be used to freshen up carpets.
