Morning :)
Dreadful here too; I don't think we have the worst of it but the amount of water is appalling :(

I had plans for shopping too, but unless it improves a fair bit I won't bother, I'm sure we can manage for now.
At least we have sausages, cooking now for a Sunday treat brunch :D A sausage baguette makes it all look a bit better :)
Hope everyone manages to have a goodish day

I think I'm going to brave it! The thing is I didn't get a walk yesterday after all - we went out in the car as Mick wanted to get back earlier than usual so he could go and get his tyres fixed. I can't go two days without a walk, it will upset my new regime  So I'll wear my jacket with the hood, and if it gets any worse Mick will come and pick me and the shopping up when I'm done. It's only just over a mile up there but better than nothing

Oops! Wrong thread, but sums the day up

Ditto.

Came back from the early-morning dog-walk absolutely drenched and half-frozen.
Same again for the second walk. But I suppose the exercise will have done me some good.

Hope you all have a pleasant day and manage to keep warm and dry.

same horrid weather here, although they did say we were going to be having lashing rain - that thankfully hasn't materialised (yet); it's just a soft rain, but still not nice esp when the wind starts as well. Definitely a stay at home kind of day

Had a bit of a lie in, got up and got the chicken into the slow cooker so now just pottering about. Will give the house a quick vacuum a bit later and may get one more load of washing in.

But that's about it

Have a lovely Sunday afternoon everyone x

Morning all :D

Raining here too, not heavily and it's still very warm, but rain nonetheless. They call it liquid sunshine here  Mind you it's still very early, 8.55am here, so it's bound to clear soon. We're off out to Southern Palms for Sunday lunch again later, it's becoming a rather nice habit 8-)

Hope none of you are in danger of flooding. Youngest daughter lives in Kent and tells us there's been a lot of houses under water nearby. Luckily she's uphill a little so not affected, but it's not far away and dreadful for all the people who've been flooded.

I used to say I should be a tortoise saundra and hibernate each winter. Decided to try a different approach the last couple of years. Mind you we got back to the coldest March for about a 100yrs last time, keeping fingers crossed it won't be as bad this year.

Hope you're all having a good day :D

hi everyone,

Well it was very wet, dull and windy here but it has brightened up a little, we have been out, had a McDonald's for lunch and then went to Asda for some shopping. Noticed some of that white stuff on the Pentland Hills, but only a little, so hopefully it will stay that way - id rather have wind and rain than snow!

Amy has gone to play with her wee friend a few doors down and im waiting on the washing machine finishing and watching tv!

Hope everyone is having a good day

xx

Jen 8-) 8-) You lucky lucky lady - enjoy your liquid sunshine :D :D ;) We shan't flood here - even in '07 this part of town was safe as we are uphill from town, the river Severn and the Docks, but there is a lot of surface water about :?

((((Saundra)))) I know how you feel love xxxx

Ria pottering sounds a good option, hope your chicken in the slow cooker turns out well 8-) :)

Aggers, brrrrrrr, do stay warm and dry my friend! ((((((x))))) Mick walked our two round the block again, the field is like a quagmire!

Hi Poll :D Hope the snow stays away! xxxx

Well I think I must be getting loopy in my old age, as despite the pouring rain and strong wind I still walked up to the supermarket! Mick and the dogs looked at me as if I was bonkers as I marched out with my jacket hood up and my umbrella!! Still they kept me relatively dry, and my new good umbrella blows inside out without breaking the spines, so I got there in one piece and relatively dry   Got the bits I needed, and the paper, sat in the café with a much-needed cuppa and read the supplements, and then Mick came and picked me up 8-)

Now I have a nice chicken, and a homemade low-cal version of apple and pear crumble cooking in the oven - the pears I bought in the week were looking a bit bruised so it seemed a good way to use them up :)

Oh and you might know, the rain has stopped now! :P

I've been out too, a fast stomp up and down the High St, in and out of Boots and Tesco and that was about it!
Minnie and Bb had a similar round the blocks walk - and now I'm home with a cuppa, it's just stopped here too, there's even some blue bits :D

I'm not saying a word

I've sat outside in a skirt :o and sleeveless t-shirt, flip-flops and a couple of beers for the last 3 hours, but thought we'd better come in and watch the footie

I might have to go outside again, if it's boring
