Hope your mum has a successful operation. Had an uncle who had both hips replaced twice. He died when he was 96.
Know several people who have had this done. One lady who had it done last year is back dancing and she is near;y 80.

Heard from Frank about an hour ago - the op went well and mom is back in her room; she actually called him herself. She's feeling a bit dopey and tired which is understandable but is quite comfortable and most important, for now is pain free (thank goodness for the post op IV pain meds )

I've got the phone number for her room so will give her a ring tomorrow morning. Frank is popping round after work today and I know my sister will be calling her this evening so I don't want to overdo it for her
