Interestingly Tim once thought he had food poisoning. The night before he had had a McDonalds. I rang environmental health to tell them and they said "it won't be from McDonalds, their standards are far too high"

It turned out to be a stomach bug

so how do you know they are inedible then

I like a Maccy D's

I like a Maccy D's too Shell, especially the sweet chilli chicken deli roll :D I think Burger King's fries are nicer than Maccy's though, or at least they were the last time I had them as we've not got one locally yet (it's coming soon) so it's not often that we get anything from there.

Sounds like a really great weekend Osc, glad you had a good time! :D
Hope the cold is gone soon xx

Because I've had one mouthful, twice - but only swallowed once
The first time was very soon after they first opened in London.
The second was about 20 years later and I said, yep, that's how I remember it

KFC's fries are the worst I find, really flavourless

Yep, KFC's fries are terrible :?

I checked the hygiene ratings for all of the local Maccy's (cos I'm nosey and was checking the local Indian before we ate there) and all were 5 star and practically faultless (as was the Indian down on the main road but the same can't be said for where we used to get our Chinese takeaways from!).

I've only eaten once in MacDonald's, and I wasn't impressed, so I've never been in one since.

I guess I must be a sort of snob.

I must confess I like McDonalds - often have a breakfast muffin meal in there, with an extra hash brown - and the coffee is quality!

Not that keen on BurgerKing, I agree - but what had gone downhill in recent years is KFC. :( Admittedly, it does depend on your local branch ....

Yes, McDonalds do a nice coffee don't they - and save 6 stickers and you get your free one! I managed to get a free one in the one night when Tom and I spent the night in Maccy D's before getting the first train home after seeing Green Day last Summer

McDonalds do very nice tea, with real milk which isn't always the case these days, and Mick likes their coffee ;) The fries are nice too and the ice creams!

Not been in one for ages though as Harry has stopped asking for it to be his Saturday treat - now he's into playing footie in a big way he is very much into healthy eating and would rather have a granary baguette with salad or similar ;) He's even given up his Jaffa Cakes
