Used to be 6d a pound in olden days. Delicious... You will be a first rate cook by the time you have finished. Best wishes to your wife.

Many thanks to all of you for passing on your best wishes to Mrs O. She's enjoying the respite care!

We have got a slow cooker, Di, and Mrs O has said she'll supervise me on it's use once she's back on her feet - that's Cooking 102 and I'm still on the Cooking 101 module....

We had a reasonable amount of the beef left over from yesterday, so it will be casserole, mash and peas tonight!!

It's much easier then normal oven cooking Ossie, much more forgiving :)
Go on, have a look online, you could surprise her ;) :D

Do pass on my best wishes too, I'm sure she's getting bored x

Good wishes to your wife Ossie, hope she is soon back and in charge. Until that happy day, it might be useful to have a family sized pack of Rennie in the kitchen to serve with meals!
