I went to town today to find a birthday present for my friends 50th. I had no idea what to get her but her daughter suggested stud earrings. The jewellery shops were half empty due to the sales but I finally saw a pair I thought she would like for £32.99 which was a bit more than I want to spend, but they were nice. The assistant wrapped them and then said "oh I can't remember which slot they came out of, was it that one" pointing to an empty slot with the price £25.99. For a second I was tempted but I thought, no, if she wants to bring them back that would be embarrassing, so I was honest and said no they were in that slot £32.99.
Except tonight, I found a link to show her daughter and guess what?????? They are £25.99 they had obviously been put back in the wrong slot. To be frank £25 was my budget so that would have been perfect, but I was desperate and they were nice. I wouldn't mind spending the £32.99 but not sure I want to spend £7.00 on fresh air.
So do you think if I took them back they would allow me to re-buy them at the proper price?
