morning all,

Ally that sounds lovely, my mum was just telling Amy about that parade the other day, as mum and dad saw it I think in Tenerife one year and the King's came in on boats to the coastline, sounded fab!

Well we had our final long lie of the holidays, normality shall resume tomorrow! Amy is back to school, I am back to work on Wednesday so have another 2 days :D :D

We are planning on a lazy day, watching dvd's and the likes - although I shall have to do ironing at some point!

Di, well done on the lotto win, I bought a ticket yesterday but haven't checked it yet, I never win so am in no hurry, will get it next time im in the kitchen and check it!

Have a good day all

You are right Saundra, it does look tidy, and the room looks huuuuge

I took the cards down, and all the little Christmas ornaments and stuff, and left Mick to dismantle the tree and run the hoover over while I trotted up to Sainsbury's. Well it had stopped raining, and with the weather how it is it could be pouring down tomorrow! Got what we needed and then I saw that frozen turkeys were all half price! So I rang Mick to make sure he could pick me up, and bought two! One to put aside for Easter, and one to cook for us at some point 8-)

Jen you will be on your way to the airport hotel by now, but have a safe flight and a sooper-dooper time, you lucky things! A much needed and well deserved holiday for you both! My sister and BIL are off to Antigua for two weeks next month, must admit to being green about it! ;)

Hope everyone is having a nice restful day xxxxxx

Afternoon all. I'm on strike today after having a mardy this morning.

After shouting at everyone that I am nothing but their skivvy I grabbed the dog and stomped off out. I left at 10.30 and got back at 3.30. I think they all think the dog had a really long walk but in fact I was at the inlaws (they are on their cruise), drinking lattes, eating biscuits and watching tv. Lol.

I have come home to find the tree down and all tidied away and the roast chicken on.

Three times this morning I reminded the girls to finish their homework, put their ironing away, pack their PE bags and school bags and get their uniform out for tomorrow. And write their thank you cards. I don't think they've done any of it but I refuse to mention it again.

It's a shame that everyone is back to normal tomorrow as I think I would have stated at the in laws overnight tonight to really stay out of everyone's way!

Well done Debih :D
Kaz I'm jealous, we only went to the little Tesco in town but no bargains at all, checked the frozen turkeys and the 'party food', all still full price.
Never mind we have that beef :D
Poll I did it online so got an email with 'news about your ticket', otherwise wouldn't have known so early! I took the cash out and tucked it in my purse along with my Christmas money so it's separate from shopping cash ;) :D

Right, off to the kitchen :D The beef, dauphinoise potatoes, roast shallots & parsnip, brocolli, carrots, Yorkshires specially for Bb (he got frozen ones in Tesco), horseradish cream, red wine gravy - sounds about right :D
Oh and we did get a bargain! - Finest Belgian chocolate sauce profiteroles ;) :D

Great bargain with the turkeys Kaz! We really should get a freezer for the garage so that I can take advantage of things like that.
