We are there for a week in August. Second week. We're staying in st Agnes.

I've reserved the cottage for the bank holiday week, the last week of the school holidays. It's on a farm in the middle of nowhere, just outside of Bude. I'm not even sure if the cottage itself is in Cornwall or Devon, but we tend to sit on the beach from morning to night anyway, and I know that's in Cornwall :D

Whether we'll actually end up taking up the reservation is another matter. And after last year, Tom said he'd stay home if we went again...and John said that it was our last family holiday EVER! So we'll see.

I'm not sure if we will do the cottage in Devon thing again this year! Becks is getting older, and more independent, and TBH Mick was awfully grumpy last time, although on the whole it was lovely..........No idea why really, even he can't explain it, but I think the time for that kind of holiday has passed for the four of us :? :o

Sad, but what can you do? :?

Jo will just you and John take a break on your own, do you think?

John was grumpy too (but then he's grumpy at home as well so... ).

It's sad when these kind of holidays come to an end isn't it? My plan for this year was to have one last big family holiday, touring California again was what we wanted to do, but I'm so glad that I hadn't booked any flights yet because I'd hate to spend that kind of money and then have two weeks of the boys bickering away in the back of the car!

If we do book the cottage and Tom doesn't want to go then that's fine, I know he'd be okay at home. Joe wouldn't have a choice though, he'd be coming and I think he'd be happy to (especially as he'd have the recliner in the cottage to himself). There's no way I'd inflict him on my parents for a full week

Me and John have got plans for a weekend or two away, whatever happens ;)

Yes, I guess now Tom is older you can at least split the boys up that way! Becks and Harry argue sometimes, although not so much here as I come down hard on it, I won't have them winding each other up and being horrid! Their dad is a bit softer, they run rings around him, and apparently they've been at it this week whilst over there!

I do get a bit cross with B about it as IMO at 18 she is old enough to know better, but TBF Harry does wind her up a fair bit  It's not malicious though so I think they will be ok when they are older, my sister and I argued a lot when younger but are very good mates nowadays ;)

Mick generally chills out well on holiday but this time he didn't really, which made me a bit cross as in all other ways it was a perfect break - the cottage was gorgeous, the weather perfect, Pepper behaved and B and H got on....Just old grumpy pants putting a damper on! Which made me upset as it was possibly our last holiday with them both :?  Now in Corfu he was a different fella :?
