I think it has been a mixed year for me.
I'm just a week away now from when I suffered hearing loss a year ago.
It has not been fun, but it has given me the oomph to fight for those with hearing loss who need access to better facilities for the deaf. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise!
Both my boys have lovely girlfriends and are happy :)
My mum's memory is getting worse, so that's not nice.
Dave and I are happy and enjoying our new love of tango :P
Like Kaz I hope to start my counselling practice. I just need a little push ;)
On the whole life is good and I have no complaints :)

Goodness almost a year ago Loz? Sometimes when things happen we can't see any good in it at all, but as you say this has given you the chance to do some real good, and fight for others......................Life is strange sometimes (((((((Loz)))))))) :) :) :)

Perhaps we need to push each other a little re the practicing? I'll shove you into a puddle, and you can trip me up behind the bike sheds when Di isn't looking....................... ;) ;)

Loz, I can't believe it's almost a year - I think it's wonderful how you're fighting for better facilities though (((((Loz)))))

2013 has been a good year for us. My health has been trouble-free (touch wood),
although Mrs A has suffering quite a lot from peripheral nerve damage caused by
two periods of chemotherapy. Apart from that we have had lovely, happy year.

The retirement lodge we moved into 2.1/2 years ago is now almost full, so now
we don't feel obliged to join in every communal event here, but can participate
just when it pleases us. We have made some very good friends here, and are so
glad we made the move.

I agree that the Meet we had in Birmingham was a wonderful experience, in fact
I was amazed at the pleasure I had in meeting some of you lovely people, and I
am looking forward to the next one.

Very mixed bag for me.....started out okish, then nose dived in late April relationship-wise :o Continued along for a bit until mid July then bad again and had negative haelth affects on me, I lost about a stone in weight (which hasn't gone back, despite things being better than ever) and suffered palpitations and anxiety, very debilitating.

Late September saw a big change when we got back together though and my life has got loads better since then, relationships with not only Tom, but especially Lewis, have really marched on apace :)

Work continues as always, no change there....we are hopefully going to have another staff member so that'll be a big help - IF it comes off!!

Jen still lives at home, doing a job she hates but at least it pays. I think she has ideas to do something fresh this year, might result in her moving out, but she is too talented to live her life in a little Northern village, she needs bright lights 8-)

Poor Donna (Tom's eldest, Lewis's mam) lost a baby this year...very sad times. On the plus side, she is working hard as a staff nurse on the stroke ward and loving it!!

So, very much a rollercoaster of a year. Hopefully we have reached the end now and can only hope that 2014 is a good one for us all.
