Good morning all.

It's dull but dry here at the moment, but heavy rain and strong winds are forecast for later on today.

We are going into town this morning for some last-minute shopping.
Then it will be a case of "batten down the hatches".

Hope you all have a nice day, but take care if you have to go out.

Morning all. Its piddling down here.

Off into town shortly - I am taking the girls to the bank to open a current account each and then we are going to battle Sainsburys.

I only need milk but want a few other bits and pieces. If it is too horrific I will abandon plans for the things I want and just go to a little local store somewhere for the milk!

Then home to chill out and do nothing.

Afternoon :)
Vic that does sound fun :D
Well, the weather is beyond awful, rain and gale-force winds and it's been steadily getting even worse :o Definitely best for Becky not to have gone Kaz.
I had to have a blood test done so we went out fairly early, did that (and got a free chocolate), and stopped at the Co-op at the garage on the same road. I figured we might as well get whatever we could there, and it was a good idea as it was pretty quiet.

The town was different. We got to the little Tesco ok, it wasn't too bad in there (and they were giving out chocolates to the queue), but we wanted to go to Waitrose which is on the way home. The original plan was to walk there later, but the weather has put paid to that. The whole world seemed to be aiming for Waitrose  We parked in a road round the back, went in, found what we wanted (tesco didn't have any dolcelatte or castello bleu, only stilton which I don't like) - and then realised all the people in that aisle were actually in the checkout queue
I told Bb I'd need more than a bloody free chocolate :P so we left :D
We can live without blue cheese and bearnaise sauce ;) :x  We'd also said we will manage with whatever the local shop has.

Loz you will have a full house, it is quite a long time isn't it, good luck :o :)
Stay safe in this weather everyone, and good luck for your flight Ally.
Is Osc already home?

Well I decided s*d the last minute housework, let's do something nice for a treat - so we got on a local bus and went to the new cinema in the Quays - the bus from the top of the road goes all the way there so we weren't out in the rain hardly at all! We had a meal first in Pizza Express (I struggled to finish a lasagne and side salad washed down with a lovely cuppa, while they both sank an Americano pizza and then a huuuge ice cream dessert each! Pair of gannets lol) and then we saw the new Harry Hill movie which was incredibly silly but extremely hilarious!!! Julie Walters as his batty granny was fab, and Johnny Vegas was the voice of his pet hamster      I even got the milk, bananas and part baked baguettes I needed from the little shop near the bus stop :D

The storm has pretty well passed over now, but Becks is seeing her mate in Cardiff just before she goes back to Bristol and uni, so all is well :) :)

Good for you Kaz, what a nice idea :D
Honestly I don't know why you didn't get things done earlier, we've had the part-baked baguettes for ages

We've done all the wrapping, Bb's even wrapped mine although I haven't done his yet. I shall do that tomorrow while he makes the sausage rolls :)
We're going to our neighbour for drinks tomorrow evening, not sure how many there will be but I've offered to take some canape/nibbly-type bits so that will keep me busy for some of tomorrow too :)

Good evening all!

The weather's not been as bad as we expected here, but bad enough! I went to the gym early, got back and showered before going to drop presents off at a friend's house. From there I went to get my hair cut and afterwards popped over to Tesco for the fresh stuff. It was surprisingly quiet(ish) in there, busy but not crazy. There was just one person in front of me at the checkout. After lunch John went out to drop presents off for the children of a friend of his so I got some housework done.

Have a good evening everyone!
