Good afternoon all - it's very windy and starting to rain here.

I've done some shopping and while I was out I picked up some outdoor lights. Our close is starting to look like Blackpool (but without the hen parties and chip papers) and John did say last night that we'd have a look at the weekend to see if we could get some icicle lights for around the bay but I know that once the weekend comes we'd not get around to it so I bought a string of lights and I've taken a holly bush in a pot from the back garden and put it in front of the bay. It's not huge but the lights are bright so it's better than nothing!

Since I've got back I've had another mammoth phone call with Sky and Virgin. We're into conference calling now, trying to sort out our switch from Virgin to Sky. Sky are fab and very on the ball, Virgin are verging on chocolate fireguard territory. Sky can't place the order until Virgin remove a cancellation they've put on our line and this has been going on for over 2 weeks now! The bloody cancellation is only there because I phoned up to ask when our contract ended with them, was asked if I wanted to cancel, I said no because we didn't have another provider lined up...and the stupid woman cancelled it anyway! It's due to cancel on the 27th, but we need to reverse that because if we don't we'll be left with no landline and no broadband after that date. I couldn't tell you how many hours I've spent on the phone over the last fortnight, trying to sort it, but it was 49 minutes yesterday and 32 today and it's still not done :(

Hope the cold comes to nothing Debbie!

Have a good day everyone!

Good afternoon, all.

We've been shopping at Tesco this morning, and I've never seen so many people there.

The car park was choc-a-block, and it took us about two hours to load our trolley up with everything we wanted.

We don't feel like dancing now, so I'll let our dancing girls have a bash....
:P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

Hope you all have a good day.

I am all shopped out. I am surrounded by bags and bags of shopping. I'm not sure where I'm going to put it all!!!!!!!!

I will step over it and go watch last nights Bake Off instead and come back to it later!

I still feel grotty - paracetamol is keeping me going. I am looking forward to a soak in the bath and getting my pj's on later.

At least feeling grotty got me out of spending more than 10 minutes with the Wicked Witch of the West (aka Micks aunt). God she's a cow. She started off by going on and on about how ill all her friends are, then started on Micks sister - she never rings, she never sends thank you cards for money I send them (well, don't send the money then says I) and then starts laying into Micks parents - they never come to visit her, family should stick together, why don't they ever spend Christmas with us, yarda, yarda, yarda. God she's a cow. She doesn't have a nice word to say about anyone.

Afternoon :)
I've been out and about too, didn't get time to post before I went.
The big Sainsburys was ok actually, busy but not horrendous, and at least there wasn't a queue for the car park :D And they had the present I'd been trying to get for Bb that 's been out of stock at amazon for a couple of weeks.

Debih hope you've got lots of Vitamin C (((x)))
Glad it went so well Loz, sounds like a lot of fun :D
Jo do hope you get them sorted out soon

I think we ditched the lights that went round the bay window as too many bulbs had gone :o
Our decorations might get done tomorrow - Bb's here today but working.

I had to pop into Asda to pick up some photo gifts this morning and bought a few other things while I was in there and that wasn't too bad either, I walked straight to the till with no waiting.
