Serenata 1 - Interflora 0

Postby Ally » 23 Dec 2012, 13:38

Every Christmas I order a bouquet of flowers from Interflora for mum to arrive on Christmas Eve.

This year I went to do the norm..only to find that they now want a delivery charge of £10 extra.

Had a little mooch on tinterweb and found a florist in mum's town that will make up a huge bouquet with a vase and a tiny box of chocolates and a message card with free delivery and she'll get them tomorrow.

Nice one Serenata. :P :P

When we were in the UK earlier this month I filled a box with things mum and dad like..Thornton's choccies for mum, sudoku book for dad, little things like that. I got Craig to post it from Nottingham last week and that was delivered ok.

Flowers should arrive tomorrow.

The only thing I'm waiting to be delivered to her is the calendar that I made up from Vista print. It was dispatched last Tuesday..no sign of it yet.
I'm tracking it..it's 'somewhere' half way up to Scotland at the moment.

I used Interflora this year and they were fine, but they aren't always. It can be a bit hit and miss sometimes

How interesting because I have only just, in the last hour, ordered some gorgeous Christmas flowers for my sister in law, who lives in Norfolk and I used Serenata for the first time. Their website was so easy to use and I could pay using Paypal. Serenata came joint first with John Lewis in last years Which report.

Hmm, when I was with an agency I worked in a distribution depot and saw lots of Interflora, M&S and J. Lewis deliveries.... and TBH I wouldn't use any ot them.

I have, however, used local florists, by going online/Yell pages, and finding one in the area where the final delivery will be made, and never had a problem.
