So...the plan was that tomorrow I'd take Billy to my parents and then get the train into Birmingham, do some shopping (pressies for the boys and some 'me' shopping, I fancied a nosy at the new library too) and then John and the boys would meet me and we'd have something to eat at the German market.
I've just called my Mom to check it's still okay and she said all being well but Dad's got an awful cold.

Now, I know that at this time of year it's difficult to avoid anyone with a cold but I've just got over one that I had two weeks ago, and when I got that I'd just got over another (thanks Tom for your generosity with both sets of germs)...and the last two Christmas Days I've been ill with colds (again, thanks go to Tom) so I really don't want to have to go there when Dad's full of it, but I can't leave Billy for that length of time and I've been soooooooo looking forward to tomorrow all week  :(

I've bought a bottle of Aldi's fake Baileys to try. Worth a chance at £4.99 a bottle

Got back from town at 9.30pm. Got everything I needed to get, including buying some tops for the boys from us and also some clothes for them from my Mom and Dad (although I cheated with Tom and got him a top and a Primark giftcard from them as I couldn't find anything else he'd like but he could really use new jeans). I went to Mac to buy a lipstick and couldn't decided between two so got both. I love lipsticks. I got myself some new tops too.
I met up with John and the boys at 8 and we had some food at the German market.

We walked past the Old Joint Stock on the way back to the car....that place holds such great memories!! :D

Couldn't find the Random thread at first  :)

Jo I missed this one but two lipsticks are always better than one :x :D

Did our good deed for the day.
I've mentioned before that Bb's mum often passes on towels. The last lot she brought were from her mum, very good, really thick bath towels. We could have kept those and ditched some of our older thinner ones but ours are the pretty aqua colour.
Anyway, I asked the dog rescue if they would like them but only any good if someone happened to be near and could collect them.
No-one was coming this way this week but she had the good idea of offering them to the local cat & kitten rescue, which is just up the road :)
I phoned them and also offered her the old hoover, which is a really good pet one but too heavy for me. She was thrilled and has been to collect it all and thanked us about a hundred times :)
They're inundated - the latest two cats had been just left behind when someone moved out :(

Why thank you Utility Warehouse for taking my gas and electric payment twice at the beginning of December. Yes, its fine that you are not going to take anything at the beginning of January.

But that doesn't damn well help me with the direct debit to someone else that has now been returned because I wasn't aware that you had taken your money twice.

Just had a parcel from my lovely friend who lives on Orkney...containing Orkney tablet, Orkney tablet and more Orkney tablet. Lots to eat in front of the TV and enough to make a cheesecake :D
