Woo hoo - I've finished work for Christmas

Postby debih » 12 Dec 2013, 13:26

That's me all done. I finished at 11.30 (after starting at 10am) but called for coffee with a friend on my way home. I'm not due back until 2nd January and even then I'm only in from 9.30 to 11.30 and then off again until 6th. I thought about taking the 2nd off but didn't want to waste a days holiday when I only needed to work for 2 hours.

I have no plans for the week ahead - I want to make soup, make and freeze some mini quiches, mini mince pies and sausage rolls ready for Boxing Day, deliver the cards to people I send them to in the village, wrap all the presents and thats about it. I'm off out on my office lunch next Thursday and taking mum food shopping next Wednesday.

This afternoon I am going to get Micks cash book done so I can get the VAT return sent off and other than doing a couple of invoices tomorrow that's all work related stuff done and dusted.

I always take the week before Christmas off (our office shuts down at lunch time on Christmas Eve until 2nd January) but it was only a few days ago that I realised that the way Christmas fell this week made it so that I had 3 weeks off.

Mick and the girls finish next Friday (20th) and Mick will probably go back on 2nd, although he does have other paid jobs to do for the parish council and the Save the Pav group. The girls go back on 6th (I think).
