I had a huge trolley full and it was much less than it would have been in Sainbury's :P :P

I used to pop in there for a few bits, I didn't even need a basket...and then I found I was picking up more and more and now I do the bulk of the shopping there. They do a lasagne, in the chiller cabinet, which is very good and around £2.50 and it's large enough to feed all of us. People can be very snobby about shopping at places like Aldi and Lidl but the food is very good quality.

The gruyere and caramelised onion tart we had for dinner was fab 8-) :P When I go again I'll look out for the lasagne Jo :)

I've not tried that, John doesn't like anything like that and Tom doesn't like onions so that'd just leave me and Joe to hog the lot..and once I start on anything like that I can't stop

We have a rib of beef in the freezer for ours too Ton - how are you cooking it???

Don't have an Aldi but since Lidl opened (maybe 2 years now?) our shopping bill has gone way down. You can't get everything there but a lot and it's good.
Someone pointed out that what they stock is the same everywhere, so for instance salami must be good enough for Italy.
