I quite agree, Os.

The Beeb wastes a lot of money on unnecessary movements of their newsmen.

I always think it is barmy how they send news readers, and camera crews, to Downing Street
just to report on some Government announcement. Surely this could be done in their studio,
against a suitable background image. But, of course, they have licence-payer's money to burn.

But when it comes to overseas disasters, they really go over the top, and I think they should be
reprimanded for their actions, which can only hinder the provision of real help for the victims.

The Beeb exists to waste our money. If George hadn't gone it would have been Matthew Amroliwallah, and that would never do - though he is cheaper, allegedly.
