It's better than it was Kaz  Now we have a choice of tickets to take - just make sure yoiu take the right ticket, or even better, if you're not sure, one from each   and wait until the number comes up on the screen.

Before, the queues would be out of the door and arounmd the side.

Then they moved the car tax and other payments to another building   but we're all back in the original building now

Only in Portugal, honest

Good afternoon all!
It can't make it's mind up whether to be dull or sunny here today, it's quite mild though so I won't complain!

The gym is done and Billy's worn out after his walk. I've got a load of washing done and also done some handwashing. I've also ordered a couple of photo gifts for the boys for their stockings. Last year I was at a loss for stocking fillers for them, I used to get little novelty toys from Hawkin's Bazaar but a.they're getting too old and b.the one that usually opens just for Christmas in Birmingham didn't materialise last year. Anyway I saw the small acrylic photo blocks in Asda's photo dept and they were lovely, and at £6.50 about the equivalent of what I would've spent on tat in Hawkin's. I used photos of Billy and they loved them, they have them on their bedside cabinets, so I've ordered them another one each for in their stockings for this year.

Cards will be posted this afternoon and that just leaves some to be hand delivered. I need to organise gifts into 'families' too and put those in carriers ready to be dropped off at friends' houses.

Tonight we're off to Pets At Home before we walk Billy, we need dog food and guinea pig food and someone has their 2nd birthday on Sunday so will no doubt be spoiled rotten!

Jen, I hope E's op goes well xx

Thinking of you today Loz xx

Di, I really hope the car gets fixed today xx

Have a good day everyone!

Jo stocking fillers get really tricky as they get older, don't they? :?

Well, I walked into town, posted my cards at the PO (hooray!) and went into the sports shop to get Harry some new trackie bottoms - his old ones were getting too small, yet again! I wish he'd slow down a bit, he's growing like a weed   Then I picked up a few bits of food shopping and walked home via my MIL's :)

Tired out now :?

You're all soooo well organised :o

The car wasn't done today :( However, Bb has cajoled a courtesy car out of them just for tomorrow, and ours should be done by closing time.

Well at least you're not without a car tomorrow Di, and hopefully your's will be fixed by the end of the day xx

It certainly does Kaz!

I posted my cards this afternoon, and a couple of small and very light parcels - and they were £2.60 each to send, 2nd class! It's bread and water for dinner for the rest of the month now Dick Turpin behind the counter at the post office has taken all of my money

Bb just has to get cracking in the morning; walk to the station (about 40 mins we reckon), get the train, walk to the garage, collect the courtesy car, drive home, then we can worry about the rest of the day.
It could be worse, but who would think the garage would take 3 whole days  :o
