Lol not just you Ton, no way would we pay £20 for lunch unless it was a real treat!
This is an expensive area, lots of pubs charge a tenner for a burger
Cafés and sandwich shops should be cheaper, but when we were looking at them all, it's £5.99 for a standard pannini or baguette
If we wander around the town, then one option is a pasty from the little shop by the quay, to take and eat by said quay - which is what I fancied the other day but the shop's not open weekdays in winter.
Thank heavens Wetherspoons got their permission, the food's pretty reliable, and lots of choice. We've been 3 times this year; twice had a chicken burger each, which is literally a whole breast, char-grilled, in a bun. Bb had chips, I had salad, and it's £6.29 each but includes a drink - eg pint of lager or cider, glass of wine, soft drink, etc.
On Friday we both had ham, egg & chips, which was in another deal, £8.79 for the 2
I think the only other meals we've had out this year are Prezzo, with the boys, for free on our Tesco vouchers (you get 4x the value for restaurants), and the beachside café at Milford for sausage baguettes
Mostly we just eat at home, and if stuck out, then a sandwich or hot sausage roll from a shop, to eat elsewhere.
