Afternoon all :)

Morning, what morning :? we had a super loooooong lie in and missed it  Only just finished eating brekkie

Mother's Christmas party went really well yesterday. Even more relatives there than usual, it was packed. Freddie the chef always lays on a great spread and much wine was consumed by all. Mother downed 3/4 glasses of the white stuff and was in a very happy mellow mood when we left, a great success :D

No plans for us with what's left of the day, should really have a tidy up but we'll see........

Hope you all have a good day :)

Shame about the bacon Saundra :(

Car not fixed, it's bad news only. Clutch gone, nearest (to there) RAC approved garage wouldn't be able to do it till at least Weds, and Bb would have to somehow get there to collect it :o
So it has to be towed all the way back to the Peugeot garage, which is about 7 miles away from here and costing a fortune before it gets fixed  :o
He had a big bagful of food and stuff for eldest that we thought would help him out in January, plus a batch of hobnobs I cooked at 9.30 last night  :o
And I know it's 'only' a car, and it's 'only' money...but he was off for 6 weeks with his eye and still not done much work yet so it's a bit tight to say the least :o

oh Di, im sorry to hear that, what a pain! :(

We had a change of plans when we were in the car, the weather was yukky so decide walking around Edinburgh not a good idea, so went to Livingston (kind of in between Edin and Glasgow) as there is a huge shopping centre, Amy got lots of clothes which are being 'sent to Santa' but she picked them so got what she wanted! Got another few bits and piece and myself a pair of converse trainers (in the sale) which Amy said are from her ;) ;) ;) ;)

Oh we went to Nando's for lunch, never been there before, and didn't realise until had ordered and someone said on my facebook that NHS employees get discount, I shall remember that for the next time!! Food was nice though, and would go back!

Popped in to visit mum & dad and then came home, ironing has been done, we are both showered/bathed (i dont do baths lol) and had a nice plate of macaroni cheese for tea ;)

now time to relax - what Sunday nights are for :) :)

Ah Livingston.

My cousin Neil married a girl from there - Aileen.

On the Thursday evening we all went to a pub in Bathgate, where he lived, it was strange for us Sassenachs. The women sat in a sort of pit - no men allowed, while the men had the bar - no women allowed. Liberating, in an odd sort of way.

Hello all!

It's been a lovely day here. After dinner we took Billy for a lovely long walk through the woods and over the common. There were lots of other dogs around for him to run around and play with. We then walked around the pool before coming home...and the dog who doesn't like getting wet decided to chase the ducks. The ducks who were sitting in the middle of the pool. So now we know that Billy is a nice strong swimmer  He usually just walks over to the water's edge, has a little look and walks back again, but not today, he jumped straight in!

Di, what a bloody nuisance :( (((((Di)))))

Poll, glad you both had a good day - we love Nandos! I took John to one for lunch when we were in London last month, Tom and I came across it when we were there in the Summer and it's stunning inside because it's set into the arches of Cannon St railway bridge right at the very side of the Thames and it's all exposed brickwork, high arched ceilings and fancy chandeliers. You feel like you're in a really fancy restaurant!

lol WM, yeah there are a few pubs in the town where I live, in the bar area, there are no ladies toilet - woman go to the 'lounge area'. Although these days woman do sit in the bar but when I was 18 and started drinking that would never happen! How times change!

Yeah Di, it is lovely, have always fancied trying it, so am glad we did, it wasn't any more expensive than any other place, usually costs about £20 for me and Amy to go out somewhere for lunch/dinner and it was £19 for nandos! :D :D

lovely!
