It took Harry ages to learn! When we lived in Swindon we took them both swimming most weekends, to augment the lessons H was having at home, and he was very very nervous :o Eventually he got there, and now his school has an indoor pool so he gets lots of practice :) :D

LOL it never lasts long does it?!

Joe took ages too. Tom had great lessons at a leisure centre near Lichfield so we put Joe on the waiting list there and they managed to mess that up and kept him waiting for 18 months, and when he finally started he had a really unreliable teacher and we'd regularly get a call first thing on a Saturday to say his lesson had been cancelled because she hadn't shown up. When that teacher left, the class was taken over by a teenage boy who obviously had a crush on this really pretty young mother and her son got one to one instruction whilst the rest of the group spent most of the lesson standing at the end of the learner pool. In the end I got the manager to watch a lesson and other parents cottoned onto the fact and at the end of the class he found himself refunding the course payments to most of the group! Joe still couldn't swim after 6 months of lessons so I then enrolled him at the local leisure centre, he started immediately and was swimming without armbands within a couple of weeks!

aw gutted, I could really have done with a bacon roll, rice krispies didnt do it for me lol!

Yeah Jo, she really does enjoy it, the classes on a Saturday are good as only about 4-5 in her group, and they do lots of swimming. I did take her to different swimming when she was 5 but she was hardly in the water, so gave up, not giving up this time though until she can swim no bother at all and then I can go swimming with her and let her get on with it!

I've been fiffing and faffing and not deciding what to do, so am sitting here with a nice coffee instead :)

Wow Weka you have been uber-busy, even for you! Glad we rescued the balls, you're the expert now ;) :x
I'd have preferred a bacon roll too but didn't have any so fruit toast it was :D
Apparently it's Christmas soon, there are things I should probably be doing, and buying... :o  8-)
Hope everyone enjoys their day
