Good evening all! It's very windy here and every now and again the heavens open.
I was going to walk to get my haircut at lunchtime but just as I was about to leave it started hammering down and as it takes over an hour to walk there John told me to hang on and he'd give me a lift. It was still raining an hour later when we went. He nipped to Argos to get Joe a set top box/tv recorder for his room and I was out of the hairdressers within 15 minutes and the sky was a clear blue and the sun was shining and I didn't need to put my coat back on! We came home, set up Joe's box, made a flask of coffee and me, John and Joe took Billy for a walk on the Chase. It was getting chillier and windier as we walked - and greyer. We stopped at the cafe at the visitor's centre for cake and the plan was that we'd have our coffee too but we gave up and headed back to the car - we just got back when the rain started again and it's not stopped since. It's so windy too, much more so than last weekend!

I'm just waiting for a lasagne to cook and once we've eaten that we'll pop round to see my parents - fingers crossed they're not watching X Factor this week!

Hope the back eases quickly Deb xx

Really strong here too - it was last year for fireworks, we remember being worried about them going off course - and one big rocket stick did hit our front window, we've still got it in use as a garden stake!

Ally he's a nutcase, but so lovable!!!! He still follows me everywhere - I got out of bed last night to nip to the loo and when I got back he was on my side of the bed waiting for me!   He loves having his belly rubbed, and has this big pink hairy tummy, and lies there with his paws straight up in the air! He sleeps like that sometimes too
