We're on "orange" alert until 6.00 tomorrow morning

Strong winds, possible tornado and shed loads of rain

Rain and wind I can cope with.

Tornado?? No thanks, one tore through Loule and Lagos this time last year and flattened some areas.

Oh blimey Ton!
I hope it doesn't happen! We had one here when Tom was a toddler, I'll never forget looking through Mom and Dad's French doors and seeing the funnel cloud in the sky, it was very surreal. It took the tiles off a couple of houses in my friend's street Then a few years later there was a bigger one in Birmingham which caused quite a lot of damage.

There was one the year we moved - fortunately, it went out to see, so we could see it.

On land, it was so very still. Very weird.

But we're insured if anything happens.

Think it's blown itself away - a lot calmer now and we almost have a touch of blue in the sky

But no doubt it will come back - our thunderstorms normally do Had one right overhead at the week-end, made us both jump

Ours didn't blow itself away
Two hours' worth of sheet lightning and grumbly thunder, quite spectacular
And had to keep turning the volume up on the TV as the rain was so loud
