Size and Hair are two big considerations Jo - after all, we were definitely after a smallish, short-haired dog

Plus of course all those holiday cottages that only allow one dog

And torrential rain like this morning reminds me well enough that you wouldn't choose double the wet mud - which we already have, since Minnie is twice the size and has twice the amount of hair of what we were 'supposed' to be looking for

I wanted to try both cheesecakes - hardly ever have pudding

Joe's been to Blist's Hill today, the main museum at Ironbridge.
I think he's eaten his way around there, he said the bread was nice from the bakery, and he had some sweets from the old fashioned sweet shop, oh and the chips from the old chip shop were lovely. He's brought a cheese roll home from there and said he'll have it for supper.
He'll never starve, that boy...

Billy hates mud, and he walks around any puddles we come across over the common. My friend's dog is the same age as Billy, he's a Golden Retriever and loves a good lie down in any muddy puddle he can find...when we get together to walk them both Billy stands there, at a safe distance, looking on in disgust while Oakley lies there

That should keep him going for an hour or so

Oh gosh yes, Minnie being half lab just loves puddles, muddy or not, especially great big ones; you can see her grinning as she lies down

LOL that's like Oakley, he has such a satisfied look on his face when he lies down
