Christmas Jumpers

Postby Kaz » 17 Dec 2012, 16:09

I bought two sparkly, sloppy-style jumpers today to wear over Christmas. I did have a green dress in mind to wear - a Gok at Sainsbury's knotted front style one that I bought months ago in the sale but I wore that on Saturday night when we went out to dinner and I fancied something a bit more casual for the big day - so I got these in Debenhams this afternoon. They are both in a big size to be really loose and comfy and I'll wear them either with black trousers or leggings and long boots.....

The first one is an Oasis jumper in black and silver thread, with a nice zip detail at the front of the neck

Hoping this one shows the zip detail better, there is one each side of the front of the neck

And then I got this fluffy sparkly one in baby blue LOL It was just such a pretty colour I couldn't decide whether to buy the black one or this one - so I got both  :P

Then I got this heart necklace to go with them ;)

I love a sequin at Christmas! A sequin, some lurex, faux fur, a bit of velvet and some lace and I'm ready! :P

Taken all my self control to stop myself buying some sequinned boots.

Lovely Christmas jumpers Kaz 8-)

They are lovely Kaz.

You know, unless we are going somewhere special (like our night out on Thursday night) I don't wear anything special over Christmas, even on Christmas Day.

I am very much a jeans and boots of gal, no matter what I'm doing.

Thanks both :) :D

Fugi I like a bit of sparkle too :P

Debih I love my jeans and boots too - that and leggings and boots are my usual daytime bottom half wear over the winter regardless of what I wear on the top 8-)

Ooh lovely, both of them :P
I had a skirt that I wore for a few years at Christmas but it kind of fell apart :o I got it in a charity shop so it was a bit ancient but I loved it, it was brown with layers and sequins. Not actually dressy, just sparkly and very comfortable too.

We do both dress 'nicely', partly I think because we are usually on our own, it's all too easy to not bother and then it's just another day ;) Just a sparkly top is all you really need isn't it.
Still working on this year's :?

Thanks Di - the skirt sounded nice :) I used to have a plain black velvet one, almost ankle length and very straight but with a small side split that I wore and wore for Christmasses for ages, as you could just ring the changes with a new top. It got too small and I got rid, although now I'm losing weight again maybe I should have kept it

I have a black velvet knee-length skirt that's about, ooh, probably 30 years old!
It's been a bit small to be comfortable for a few years now, but I look at it each year :D

I love the top jumper and have one very like it!

I havent owned/worn a skirt in at least 15 years, but am loving the rise of the pencil skirt again, and bought a lovely calf length one from Asos to wear on Christmas day :P :P :P

Family and friends may just believe it's a christmas miracle!

Di  Why do we do it to ourselves? I have a gorgeous black dress that will never fit me again, but I can't bear to part with it :o

Shaz I like pencil skirts - I have a gorgeous tweedy one that I haven't been able to find since we moved - annoying cos it would look nice with the tan knee boots I bought recently :o :? :?

Debih you sound like my Becks - if she gets out of her Tigger onesie on Christmas Day I'll be very surprised! :P
