Sunday tea - paper doylies on plates filled with Viennese finger jam and cream sandwiches and custard slices laid alternately. ;)

Cheese Quavers for me with Stilton. Only 88 calories a bag and maybe a few more for the cheese and I suppose one or two more for the Shiraz. :kick:

I only like ready salted crisps and I only like normal crisps. None of your kettle cooked, or hand fried or ridged rubbish, normal ready salted crisps.

I am off to have a look at that link now

I love that link!
Used to love Battenburg cake, I'd strip the marzipan off and save it until last :D

My dad used to tell me I didn't like marzipan - y'know, Christmas cake, weddings, etc. He'd lean over and say, don't worry Di, I'll eat that for you ;)
I was about 18 before I actually tried it - and liked it
Good trick huh? :D

Not usually no - stupidly I trusted my dad

Thank God he taught me how to peel shrimps when I was about 3, and I tasted them
I'd be far more cross if he'd told me I didn't like prawns ;)

His other good trick though, and one I've recommended to countless people over the years, was to change the clock in my bedroom on Christmas Eve  :o ;) :D
Well, I suppose his previous good trick was to make sure I could tell the time :)

Again, I didn't find out for years, my parents used to put the clock back a couple of hours on Christmas Eve, so that I wasn't bouncing on their bed at 4am. He was a postman till I was about 4, so probably the odd morning he didn't have to wake up meant quite a lot :D

Ah. We had candles.... and they went out after a couple of hours, then we went t' bed. ;) :-P :-P

Clocks were modern inventions and not for those of us what lived in holes in't road. :-P ;)
