I am getting a new bedroom carpet, AT LAST!

The carpet I have was bought when I moved into my flat, lived there 3 years and moved here and it came with me and was patched to fit my bedroom, so I have had it for 8 years  I have just never had the money to go and get a new one, there is always something more important to buy (or holidays to pay for lol)!!

So today, I went and picked a gorgeous PINK stripey carpet, has various other colours and it really is gorgeous, will take a few weeks as they had none in stock, so have a few weeks to clear my room and get it sorted - no doubt a trip to the tip!

Quite excited!! :D :D :D :D

Also bought a gorgeous new rug on Saturday, again I have needed a new one for years, its also pink, lol!

Thankfully the effects of that darn 'soda' have worn off and I have had a nice plate of chilli and rice, made the chilli in the slow cooker yesterday!

Lovely Poll, I love the smell of new carpet

Our carpet in the lounge, dining room and up the stairs is 23 years old, mind you our sofa's are 29 years old and our dining room table and chairs are over 30 as they weren't new when we had them.

isn't it just GORGEOUS!! I sent my sister a pic and she said the same kaz - its very me! lol!

I looked at plain pink ones but I have a pink bed (yes the whole bed frame is faux leather - bright pink) and I have pink curtains, so thought the stripes would be perfect!

I aim to have pink in all the rooms, I have chocolate wallpaper one one living room wall with pink flowers, pink on curtains, pink rug etc, and kitchen has pink kettle, bathroom has a few pink tiles - next is the hall, I need to get new wallpaper - this will be next years project and want, yep you guessed it...PINK!!

lol!

SO EXCITING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
