Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 15 Sep 2013, 05:44

Good morning :D

Another be-yoot-i-ful day forecast. 8-) 8-)

Off for a run shortly and looking forward to hearing all my new songs I put on my ipod.

A swim then my usual phone call to mum except I'll be able to say to her 'see you tomorrow!' :kick: :kick:

Paco's later to watch the Malaga game and home for a chicken balti. :-P :D

Enjoy the day. :)

Morning all
Had a very tiredMissey all day. Late night giggles with her best friend caught up with her and she headed off for a nap after lunch, even though her nana and popa were here. So proud of her.
Finished the plastering of the toilet wall (again) today. And hopefully this is the time I am finally happy with it. I will try aNd get an undercoat onto it on Tuesday.
Oliver is spending his first night in a almost big boys bed. It's a single foam mattress on e floor. I told him if he doesn't fall out of it for month, he can have a real bed. :D
Have a good day all

Good morning all.

Just back from a long brisk walk with Prince.

It's cool this morning here, but at least it's dry.

We're having a quiet day today for a change.

Hope you all are well.

Morning everyone

Gorgeous here, got our sunshine back :kick:

I really really am going to do houseworky stuff today - I keep getting side-tracked   - and as we're out for most of next week, today it is.

Good luck to Oliver in his big boy bed - good idea that Weka, saves them hurting themselves when they do fall out :D

Safe flight to your mum and dad Ally. My daughter came back from Lanzarote yesterday and said the flight was horrendous - and she's not a happy bunny in airyplanes anyway

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning :)

Been busy! Minnie and I had a really good walk (for her), she not only went happily to the field and round it, but wanted to go round again :D She didn't make it all the way, she'd needed a couple of lie-downs in the nice cold wet grass, so I cut it short but we were gone a whole 50 minutes, Bb was impressed :)

On the way we met J from over the road - they who lost their dog Skye earlier in the year - with their new dog :D A very pretty little long-haired corgi, she's three years old and called Minnie  A friend of a friend shows them/breeds (has only been doing it a few years) and this one's a lovely dog, qualified for Cruft last year, but apparently not right for breeding with the one she has, or something. Anyway, they wanted a really good home for her so J & B have her :)

And on the way back collected some lovely cooking apples from outside one of the big houses on the lane, who have supplied all our cooking apples since we moved here :D
Back later - he's calling me.... :D

Morning all :D Had a bit of a lie in here, and then I was just about to log in when my MIL rang

It's raining and cold this morning, I'll be cooking an early lunch so Mick can take H back, and then I've got that tomato soup to cook, with the produce from the greenhouse, and those apples to peel and bag up 8-) Not decided yet whether I'll blanch and freeze them in slices, or cook them down and freeze them like that - probably the latter 8-)

Di it's great that Minnie is doing so well, and funny about the other Minnie

Ally you must be beyond excited!!! :D :D :D

Ton I don't envy your daughter that flight one bit

Morning Aggers :)

Weka that mattress idea is a good one, I hope Oliver manages his month and gets his big boy bed :D

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all, it's dull and very windy here, but the promised rain has either passed over or not materialised. I don't feel as well today as I did yesterday. However, we have been planning for ages to go to a big flypast in Dublin, lots of planes, and so we have decided to just go for a couple of hours to get the flavour. Here's a link to the FB page about it, their own website doesn't seem to be working too well this morning  https://www.facebook.com/Flightfest There's a great little video of some of the planes arriving at Casement Aerodrome yesterday - when the weather was absolutely gorgeous! They are expecting over 100,000 people, hope the weather doesn't deter them all - on FB I could see that people were heading to Dublin from all over the country for it. Suppose I had better root out a woolly hat and some gloves and wear a rainjacket. Have a good day everyone :)

Osc that does look as if it should be well worth seeing - and hearing :)
Very sorry you're not feeling so good though ((((x))))

Kaz you could also just cook down the tomatoes and freeze them as purée, - the longer you cook them the more concentrated - they'd take up less room that way :) You probably know this but cut them in half downwards and nick out the stem bit, then the skins will all fall off as they cook.
I've got a pack of yesterday's sausages cooking in the oven, plus some red onion, and a baguette waiting, for what should be a yummy scrummy brunch :)

And Bb is upright :D
Ton I really really have to get some cleaning and hoovering done today - but not yet, I haven't stopped yet :D

Just watched the great north run - Grumpy is doing the vacuuming - but only ever goes around things  and I'll do the rest. I did manage one bathroom earlier

Good afternoon all!

Today's weather can best be described as yucky. It's cold, grey and raining on and off. It's yucky enough for John to have stayed home rather than go on his usual Sunday morning bike ride and that doesn't happen often!

I'm just doing dinner and there's an apple pie in the oven, once that's out I'll put the trays of dog biscuits in that I've made from Di's recipe - I'll let you know how they go, he's a fussy devil with biscuits!

Lovely to hear about Minnie's walk and glad that Bb is now upright!

Sorry you're not feeling too good Osc, hope tomorrow is a better day xx
