Good morning Friday

A place to chat with friends, old and new

Good morning all, it's grey, wet and miserable here, I think it must have rained all night because the news is reporting floods in places around the country. Nothing major planned for the day - supermarket, card writing, and Mr. Osc and myself are having fun looking up Christmas songs to put on our forum. I know I keep saying this to anyone who will listen, but we are so enjoying the stress-free Christmas this year, it's a particular joy for me to see him so relaxed and not frowning and snapping a lot of the time. He has a bad cold at the moment, and would have been ...erm.....less easy... to live with if we were still working ;)

Saundra, that's brilliant news about your friend, I remember you posting about her before - hope she's doing this :P :P Have a good day everyone :)

Lissie, I thought my posts were vanishing but if you are posting on a thread and somebody else posts at the same time a message pops up with your post saying you might want to preview your post and then submit as it could be similar to another recent one.

So do 'preview' then 'submit' and it'll be there.

Morning :)
Rain, rain, rain...and a bit more rain. And very dark...trying not to look at it ;)

Lissie it's as Fugi said; your message is there, just scroll down a bit. It's a good feature but takes a little getting used to.

Bb's here working today so we're going to try and sort out the room/tree etc.
Youngest later for the weekend, but any shopping Bb can get on the way.
Saundra that's brilliant news about your friend :P
Loz hope it gets sorted out, as much as anything it's a right nuisance having to keep waiting in for people to come and fix it - several times.

Morning all!
Looks like the forecast was right - it's a little milder but there's heavy rain and it's so windy. John and I were planning on getting the train into town this evening to do a bit of shopping and have a mooch around the German market but I think we'll wait until later to see what the weather's doing before we decide.

Saundra, that's brilliant news!

Good luck Ton!

Hope you can keep warm over the weekend Loz!

Osc, so happy for you that the build-up to Christmas is easier this year, I hope Mr Osc is feeling much better soon.

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Hello! It's a very cold and crisp sunny morning today. I have packed my bags and am planning
on staying with my sister again this weekend. I have a funeral to go to, but am planning to enjoy
the time I have with my older sister and b-i-l. I don't see them very often as they live in Florida now.
So we'll probably go out to eat tonight and again after the funeral. The funeral is for my B-I-L's uncle,
who was 92, I believe. The man lived a very good life and died quickly (heart failure). I hope when
it's my time to go I will go just as fast. He was being looked after by B-I-L's son and wife. Their
children had grown quite attached to the old guy. He wore a hearing aid with a little speaker
attached to it and the 8 year old used to pick the speaker up to chat with him - which
he loved. I remember when he first moved in with them, she expressed a worry, "What happens if
I fall in love with Uncle Bob and he dies?" Needless to say, little Miya is taking Bob's death hard. So,
I'll have to give her an extra cuddle.

Hope you start to feel better soon Gal :)

Elaine hope it all goes well and the little one does deserve an extra hug.

We've been really good, Bb's blitzed a load of paperwork, at the moment the sideboard is actually clear of his stuff :D
The tree's up and decorated, the new little tree is in the front window as are the lights, the sparkly twigs are out, and the mantlepiece is decorated :P Oh and the wreath I made last year is on the front door :D
Phew!
