*scrapes off the chocolate fudge icing from all the remaining cupcakes and passes it to Jo on a giant spoon*

It's going a bit better than you thought it would then :D

We've recently been buying those instant 'real' coffees, after buying one (espresso powder) because Nigella used it in a recipe. Brilliant for coffee & walnut cake & icing :)
I only buy them on offer, but the offers have been really good ;)
The current one came in a pouch, refill job. I think it's Kenco, lovely taste but it's not quite a powder. The first one was Percol, Black & Beyond.
I have probably less than one a day but as a treat; we both have one at weekends, but have normal instant for first thing in the morning anyway, anything decent would be a bit of a waste :D
They're worth a look especially for taking on holiday ;)

I only buy those instant real coffees - I am not loyal to any particular brand, I just buy whatever is on offer, when it is on offer so I tend to have a few in the cupboard at any one time.

I don't drink tea at all - unless I am very, very hungover.

I'm the total opposite Jo, I never drink coffee, it gives me palpitations as I am extremely sensitive to caffeine    Mick likes it though so we have a cafetiere and filter coffee, whichever is good and on offer in Sainsbury's  Never buy instant.....

We also have one of those little pod machines, a Gusto, that I bought him the Christmas before last but it wasn't a hit, he prefers the filter stuff ;)

Gladly taken with thanks, but I won't leave the big spoon lying about while the world champion stirrer is around

I had a dentist appointment this morning. I put my iPod on whilst walking there and what was the first track that came on? Green Day's Pulling Teeth.

The last time something like that happened was when I innocently took the book I was reading to keep me occupied at the hospital whilst waiting for a haematologist appointment some years ago - my book was Interview With A Vampire

I would advise you to grind your teeth, but won't since you're off to the dentist!

Minnie and I are off to the vet in a minute, this is the check-up 'after our holiday' :)
She's still been on the 6mg of steroid every other day and apart from the side effects no problems, so we weren't in a hurry to tinker with it.
Bb would have been coming with us but he's had to go to the eye casualty unit at Southampton...we're both assuming it's something annoying but trivial so fingers crossed :?

This phone feels like it's welded to my ear! I knew who I needed to speak to at the hospital, her extension number had changed. I called children's ward and asked to be transferred to her, she's secretary to the paediatricians, and they couldn't do it, even though her office is on their ward. And they didn't have her email address either. Instead they put me through to paediatric outpatients. They put me through to someone else. She said she could put me through to the person I wanted to speak to, but put me back through to herself somehow. I got back through to paediatric outpatients and YAY! finally they managed to connect me to the lady I needed to put my query to.
