Well that was quick - the power of the internet!

As I said on the morning thread, I put some computer stuff on a local FB buy/sell page this morning - all the computer stuff has already been collected, and someone is coming to take the desk at 5pm  :D

That's great! When I put my old dining suite onto Freecycle, just before we moved house, it went on the first day! In fact I could have shifted it several times over! It's a great way to get rid of old, but decent, stuff 8-) :D

Well the desk has gone to a lovely Polish lady who came with her two children, and very kindly brought me a bottle of wine!! Sometime people are just really nice. Our diningroom looks a whole lot tidier now.

:D Aw yes, people are really grateful on the whole! The young couple who took my dining suite were so chuffed, thrilled to bits with it in fact - and I was glad it was going where it was appreciated as it was in good nick apart from a couple of puppy toothmarks on the legs! Which is why the Sally Army and other charities didn't want it! Apparently the destitute will only accept perfect freebies these days.............. '
