As I said on the morning thread, I put some computer stuff on a local FB buy/sell page this morning - all the computer stuff has already been collected, and someone is coming to take the desk at 5pm

That's great! When I put my old dining suite onto Freecycle, just before we moved house, it went on the first day! In fact I could have shifted it several times over! It's a great way to get rid of old, but decent, stuff

Well the desk has gone to a lovely Polish lady who came with her two children, and very kindly brought me a bottle of wine!! Sometime people are just really nice. Our diningroom looks a whole lot tidier now.

Aw yes, people are really grateful on the whole! The young couple who took my dining suite were so chuffed, thrilled to bits with it in fact - and I was glad it was going where it was appreciated as it was in good nick apart from a couple of puppy toothmarks on the legs! Which is why the Sally Army and other charities didn't want it! Apparently the destitute will only accept perfect freebies these days.............. '
