Di that all sounds delish!!!! Yes I was saying the same to Mick, that it would make a nice base for all sorts of dishes - I have some lamb steaks for tomorrow and might use some and bake them in it, to test it out 8-) :D

Loz I hope the finger exercise is coming on ok :) xx

Debih hope you can find a car you like 8-)

Osc I hope Michael enjoys himself :D

Poll it sounds like they really support new nurses up your way - I know you'll be a fab nurse 8-) :D xxx

I've got the pasta sauce on the go now - have put a piccie on the kitchen board, there was so much veg I could hardly get the lid down on the slowcooker, and my slowcooker is huge

Mick and I had a nice lunch out in the sunshine, but there is a real nip in the air when you get in the shade - you can tell the season is on the turn - last day of August today  ;)

Just stopped for second cup of tea - with no cake

Forgot to say, well done Poll and good luck for Monday :)

My back's killing me, but all cupcakes now done - there was plenty of lemon curd icing over, so used that for a lot of the mini-ones as well, they look cute with the little yellow flowers on top :)
I'll post the recipe for the coconut, cherry & white choc bars - no flour! - and they were so easy. They look and smell really good.
Just made the coffee buttercream so next is the coffee & walnut to finish off.

Haven't done flapjacks, if I have the energy later I might do some not-hob-nobs but still have the veggie pasties to do...
It would all be easier with a bigger kitchen and more tins and cooling racks, but still, it's not often I need the space.
Back to work :D

aw thanks folks :) yeah Kaz, I think the government realised new nurses needed more support etc so this new programme has to be done by every new nurse entering NHS Scotland :)

Good evening everybody.
relaxing now after a busy day. Shopping early. Then home for a coffee before going out to buy a new fridge. Our existing one which we have had for several years stopped working. Found one we liked at a local electrical appliance shop. Back home to empty the fridge and put it in the garage. Also took it off the wooden base which is fitted with castors to make it easy to move. After lunch, had a quiet few minutes before the new fridge was delivered. The delivery van took the old fridge away. Had to take the packaging to the local dump. Lots of cardboard and polystyrene. Back home to fit the new fridge onto the wheeled base. Had to move the freezer into the garage as the new fridge is wider than the old one and wont fit in the same space.
Have had teas, a lovely piece of salmon with a few chips.
Am going to get shaved and showered as we are off out looking for a new dress shirt for me tomorrow.
Di, can I have one of the big cup cakes.I love lemon curd icing.
Debih, we changed our car last year. The garage took both of our cars in part exchange. But it might be worth asking some of the scrap car dealers what they will give you for them as it could be more than a garage will give you even if you are buying a new car.

Sorry Cruiser, they're strictly for charity - we've had to be very controlled :D
