Morning Ally, morning everyone :) :)

I was pegging washing out before 7am   It's dry here, but too early to tell how it will turn out later. Harry goes back to his dad's today to get ready for going back to school next week, and B is going just for the weekend to see her dad before she goes off to uni in a week or so.....Feeling a bit 'empty nest' as I don't know when we'll all be together again :? H will still be coming for alternate weekends, of course, and B will be coming home sometimes at weekends when she wants to, but I'm very aware this is the start of a new phase for us.......Everything changes, and I'll get my head round it 8-)

Lots to do today anyway, plenty of h-word and still plenty of ironing despite doing most of it yesterday

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning all. Gorgeous morning here.

I have to nip into town to pick up my adoption papers and then home to bake a very chocolatey birthday cake.

Morning :)
A bit duller out there but still looks good :)
Today I shall be starting my mini-bakeathon for the dog day on Sunday. Mary (well, one of her books) is all ready, sitting on the worktop, and fruit has been soaked in tea overnight to make two fruity teabreads.
Once I find the recipe for dog biscuits Bb and I will be making those later, so that tomorrow I can do all the rest.

Do you remember how our holiday was such a bargain, as it was just Mon-Fri? It was only about half of the budget Bb had said we could spend, so we're going to use it up on a long weekend in late October :kick:
I shall look for something today 8-) :D

Enjoy your mooch Ally, have a ((((x)))) Kaz, Debih can I lick your spoons, I'm not doing any chocolate ones 'cos of the weather :)
Saundra enjoy the sun :)
Have a good day all

I'm going to be a stalker 8-)
We want to go to or rather near, Bridport, so that we can walk on the beach and to a pub, and go out to eat somewhere nice :)

When we lived at the flat we went more than once for the day down to the West Bay/Burton Bradstock area, and also stayed B&B for a night in Burton Bradstock.
Bb decided early on that Burton Bradstock was an old movie star, so a lot of the other villages round there have become like old friends just from their signs - co-stars, child stars, the one who sang the theme tune...we're often giggling like idiots as we work out the roles

A lot of cottages do short breaks outside of the summer holidays, Mon-Fri or Fri-Sun, and it so happens Bb has one weekend late October where he won't have to work on the Friday/Saturday ;)

Sounds like fun - will you take the boys or just the two of you? :) ;)

Lobster cottage also does breaks all year round, as you say I think many do - and cheaper than high season :D

Eldest will be at Uni ;)
We'd intended just us, and anyway youngest couldn't come as the short breaks are Fri, Sat and Sun nights - except at half term, which is where I've just discovered we're b*ggered, it's half term week  I've only looked at the same company so far but none are offering short breaks that weekend.
Haven't got time to look any more just now but may have to put it off.
