Morning all. Another busy day here today, but at last it looks like our luck is changing.
Hubby went to the doctor, and his sore wrist (from when he fell down the stairs last week which was getting worse) is only a bad sprain. phew.
Car has come back from the panel beater again, and this time it is in the condition that I expected it to be in the first time. luckyily the new owner (yes it changed ownership last week  ) was there today, and was determined that the car was going to come back fantastic, and true to his word it was. he even quickly spraypainted the front bumper (where I had found a rock while carefully keeping an eye on another rock. the boot doesn't look like it was painted by a 5 year old any more. phew. and it was all clean, straight and shiny.

other highlights today were mowing the lawns, varnishing the toilet window sill, filling the garden bin, and cleaning the boot of the courtesy car, as the lawn mower needed petrol, so off to the petrol station i went, then the tins spilled over on the way home. :( can't have it all good i guess. I'm just SO pleased that I have a carpet cleaner now, as I was able to fix it. Even put the hair dryer on it to help it dry out in time.

Good luck for you dad Deb. I hope it all goes well for him.

Good afternoon all! It's grey, windy and very much cooler here today.

I've been to the gym and then walked Billy, it was long sleeved top and cardi weather today and I still felt a bit chilly. The wind really catches you over the common though because it's high up and open.
Tom's just gone to meet some friends, Joe's watching TV, Billy's snoozing and John was expecting to drop in for lunch after a morning site visit to Preston but he's just texted to say he's still there so hopes to be home around 5.

We sat outside last night with a cuppa and watched the meteors. I saw quite a few but John kept missing them. We got too cold in the end and came back in.

Ho she's getting some practice in  8-) She'll be fine Kaz I'm sure.....she's young :D It's once you hit a certain age that booze takes so much longer to leave your system

Lovely day here - and not just the weather :D 8-)

I know she will Gal  She says she drank as much as anyone else at her BBQ, but while they were all suffering or sleeping in the morning she was cleaning up and feeling not too bad. Admittedly she flagged in the afternoon and slept then, but no ickies or anything 8-)

She knows Mick meant it when he said we'd go without her if she's not fit to travel ;)

I can only remember J being icky once in drink before she left to go to Uni - I was horrified and gave her zero sympathy, which she wasn't expecting!!   B will be fine :D xx
