It tasted 'orrible.

Postby Workingman » 11 Aug 2013, 15:36

I am having a bit of a lazy weekend whilst decorating the bathroom, so I bought a couple of ready meals from the Co-op. Now they were not cheap at £2.59 a throw, but with all this salt removal malarkey they had no taste - no flavour. God only knows what the 99p versions from TesDA taste like!

It's back to the kitchen for me from now on. :o

Good :D
We did have a thing from Tesco last week, it was just chicken breasts in a tomato and basil sauce, but at half price it was cheaper than buying the chicken - and on a fast day, it was 200 cals each :)
It was ok, definitely needed the extra seasoning I added but otherwise fine, and nowadays they do only use ingredients you recognise, so no guilt ;)

I haven't bought ready meals in ages, but have always found that they needed seasoning added to them.
