Oh yes they are beautiful :)
I've seen plenty but not in that set of fields. This one was so little, and leaping is the word, just bouncing around in the long grass :D

I'd not seen many until we got Billy, I rarely used to go to the Chase before then, and it's probably because we usually walk a bit off the beaten track that we see so many. We saw a little Muntjac a few months ago, that was very cute and I'd never seen one of those before and haven't seen one since.

They're very shy creatures. When I was getting the train from down here to work, I'd see quite a few, through the Forest where the train track is well away from roads.
There is a place you can go to see/watch them, the ones there are sort of contained but in a huge area. You go from the visitor centre down a track and there's a place with wooden railings overlooking a huge open area with woods in the distance.
Bb and I took the boys once, and had to peer at the woods, eventually spotting 2 or 3 just coming out of the trees then going back in again.

When Dad and S came, we took them, warning that they may not actually get to see any. We walked down the track and as we got to the railings, there just in front of us in the open were about 40 or so deer :D

I love seeing the deer at Chatsworth.

We were lucky enough to go on a horse and carriage ride through the parklands at Chatsworth and rather than running away the deer came closer.

And I will always remember driving through just before dusk one Christmas Eve and having to stop for a stag to cross the road. It was very majestic and was in no rush. It was quite a magical sight.

I've seen deer a fair bit in Richmond Park over the years - they have very clear signage about what times of the year to keep well away ;)

Those stories all sound lovely :D 8-) I love deer :)

My knicker elastic has broken (since I put them on this morning) and as I am wearing a skirt (a very long skirt) my pants kept falling down!!!

I am off shopping in a minute so I am going to call in to M&Co and buy some more but it will be a little breezy before I get there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reminds me of a time at work in London. I was in an office of about 10, and we were discussing lunhtime plans, as you do, and I stood up with my bag ready to head out and announced that I was off to buy a pair of pants i had seen the other day that I quite liked. The office went rather silent, but I didn't think anything of it, and carried on out of the door. When I got back, with my shopping, one of the lads piped up that it looked like I had bought more than pants, no I said, only that pair, did he want to see them. well I still hadn't clicked. He went bright red, and when I pulled out a new pair of black work suit pants, everyone looked realieved. then I clicked to the culture clash. What do you call these I asked, trousers was the reply. Well kiwis call them pants I said, and pants are knickers or undies.

Hope you managed to get a comfy pair Deb. :D

We saw the deer in richmond park too. they were amazing. there are some wild deer here, but not in the same numbers. so if I wanted to show the kids, i would probable have to take them to the zoo. there are a couple of deer farms around though
