Jo, if you are getting a raw deal take action.

I found this page useful when I took action against a certain virgin who dabbled in media.

http://www.thinkbroadband.com/guide/res ... oblem.html

Refuse point blank to deal with anyone outside of the UK and do not let them fob you off with the "up to" excuse. If, for example, you have signed up for a 12 Meg line you can reasonably expect to get a substantial portion of that for most of the time, only getting 3-4 most of the time is NOT substantial, a total dropping out is unacceptable.

Record dates and times of any phone calls and an outline of what was said. Write, write and write again. Threaten to cancel any contract and do not be afraid to use the court process, but only after everything else is exhausted. Do not let them off the hook.

If the local supermarket was selling short weights you wouldn't accept it, why should an ISP be any different?

Jo I'm sure it was you said you had an app with all the constellations?
What is it please and did you say you could literally go outside and spot them? We're thinking of when we're on holiday, it's so in the middle of nowhere it'll be perfect :D

Frank, that's who we get our Broadband from - would've recommended them to anyone a few years ago but not now.
I'm going to get John on the case - thanks for the link ;)

Di, it's called GoSkyWatch Planetarium, and yes, it has a compass built into the app so you point your phone or tablet up at the sky, after putting your location into the settings, and it shows you exactly what you're looking at :)

Two hours with Magaluf Grandson as he told me blow by blow account of his holiday experiences! Chuckle muscles aching. Happy he's home and all intact - didn't fall off a balcony, get stung by a sea-urchin, get robbed, arrested, get a tattoo, use his condoms, lose his passport, get sunburn and next holiday he goes on he wants some culture and some Safe Fun!

Ooh thanks Jo, we'll get it now so we can have a practice :D The sky here is beautifully clear and we do look at the stars each night, but we don't have much sky. The place we're staying has nothing all around :)

Didn't go in the hotel pool because people were s h a g g i n g in it! He's tall and skinny and pale and all the other blokes were like Joey Essex from TOWIE with muscles, haircuts, tans and wife beater T/Shirts. He said to me 'The girls in Magaluf go for the big, burly blokes for a one night stand but for life they go for me'.

For five euros a shot they buy balloons from street sellers filled with laughing gas that makes them happy so they don't need to drink so much!

Gangs of African women roam The Strip and will break an arm if you try to hang on to your wallet!

At four in the morning the brothels come alive!

What a s h I t h o l e of a place.
