  Weka I think Gloucester is another '2 degrees' type of place - everyone sees to know everyone else here :?   It is a city with a small town vibe

I have a story 8-) When we moved to Gloucester four years ago a chap came to install our Sky for us - turned out he used to live next door but one to our old Egham house, with his brother and SIL, who used to be a friend of mine    Gloucester is a good 100 miles from Egham

Oh I think I've told my Sky story before but I have one too

The fella who installed our Sky here asked where we'd moved from and he said his aunt and uncle lived on that road and it turned out that they'd been our joined-on next door neighbours for 16 years :D

And when I took Tom to that tiny secret Green Day show last year, people from all over the world had been trying to get tickets for it with it being in a small venue, who should tap me on the shoulder as we stood waiting for it to start but our window cleaner from before we moved :D

I was standing at a pedestrian crossing in London, near the Euston Road, when I saw that the person next to me was a man who had been two years ahead of me at school in Yorkshire! I hadn't seen him for years previously and I've never seen him since.

On our first posting to Indonesia, where having read about Borneo I was convinced we might be eaten by cannibals as we had been told previously that was where we were going..
We arrived in Djakarta somewhat exhausted following a very long flight and made for the bar where a few minutes later I was approached by a well spoken young man who turned out to be from Sweden who worked for the Swedish Embassy. "Hello Kate" said he.. I looked perplexed! "You don't remember me/" he asked
When I said no he told me that he was a regular visitor to the night clubs where I appeared and with the Oscar Lucas band show in Malta... Its a small world.. All that way!! one never knows who they will meet on the path of life.. ;)

Yes. it is a small world.

It's amazing how events like this can happen, in spite of the fact that the chances in some cases must be one
in a million or more.

When I was a young child, because I only just recovered from diphtheria, we went to live in a small and remote
country village called Rock, where I spent several years and which have left indelible memories of country life.

In the retirement lodge where I now live, some forty miles away, I was surprise to learn that another resident
once lived at Rock, too, and our Lodge Manager once lived in an adjacent village called Clows Top.

But these coincidences, of course, are nothing compared with some of the afore-mentioned.
