Monday Dinner

What is everyone having? I've made a cottage pie - nice and soft for Mick after the dentist this morning ;) :)

We're having lasagne with garlic bread and some salad.

It should do us for today and Wednesday as there are only the three of us (Mick is in Glasgow all week).

It should be ready very soon - or at least I hope it is as the girls are ravenous.

D'you know what Saundra? After Christmas and all the rich food, one of my fave dinners in the New Year is a cheese salad with a jacket spud :D

I'm roasting a chicken as I didn't have a roast yesterday and I feel in need :)

I roasted a big chicken yesterday. It was a bit different, from Lidl, with 'Winter spices', plus there was a sachet of glaze to pour over for the last 20 minutes. It had ginger and cinnamon, and orange - the house smelt very Christmassy :D
There's loads left so tonight will be with some roasted aubergine, courgette, onion and peppers, and little crispy potatoes since we didn't have roast ones yesterday :)

We had a chicken stir-fry, with "proper" egg fried rice and noodles.

Grumpy has opened a bottle of a rather pleasant wine, so quaffing that now too.

I wish I could get the stuff in Lidls you get - we tend to have different stuff :o

And we've lit the fire, as I sat outside inthe glorious sunshine for a couple of hours and when the sun went in, felt really cold. I have a lovely tan :D :D but lines where my neck folds
