Ally it's scorchio here too! :-P :D :D :D Awake early as I had the windows open for air last night, and without the blinds being closed we get flooded with light early in this bedroom - it's double aspect so has two windows :) So we've already had brekkie, Mick and I that is as B and H are still asleep

Harry weekend so we'll be out later, doing whatever his nibs wants to do :D Have a lovely day everyone, making the most of the weather if you can 8-) :) :) xxxxxx

Morning all :)
Sun, sun, sun isn't it lovely?! :D

Our bedroom windows are always open; the little one even at sub-zero, the big one a lot of the time too. It's funny along our row of the 5 houses we can see, us and next door have them wide open; next door with 2 children, it's only the last week or so that their little windows have been just a tiny bit open. Other side of her another with 2 children, their windows are only ever a tiny bit open too. And the other way, the guy never seems to have a window open at all :D
When youngest is here we sometimes have to remind him to open the window, but if eldest comes both big windows will be open wide :D

Back still very painful but not quite as bad. Did manage to sleep - though why we both stayed up till one watching Notting Hill I have no idea, but that and a big dose of bacardi helped. Needs must when you can't take strong painkillers ;)
Today himself has to work but will fit in shopping. Not sure yet if I'll manage getting in and out of the car.
Will be popping back in once or twice to catch up with reading at least.
Have a good day all
Di

Good morning friends.

It's lovely here, too. Just back from a long walk with Prince.
He's flat out now - this hot weather doesn't suit him.

A quiet day is on the cards today - mainly watching the tennis on TV.

Enjoy this summer weather.

Pootling inside for us, although that wasps nest is now vacant, think I'll leave it for a day or two. Was thinking of a curry but am doing spag bol instead, with garlic bread :D

Enjoy the sunshine everyone, and hope your back continues to imrpove Di xx

Morning All,

Beautiful sunny morning here too :D

Washing out, tidy up done (lick and promise)

Off out to meet with friend for coffee and get few bits for holiday, then back and change and off out with the boys for pub crawl, though I have warned them that in heels about two pubs might be my limit - I am a woman, and the "boys" are my work colleagues in case your wondering :D

Took a load of stuff to the dump for my sister yesterday, and am going to do the same for myself between my two outings.

Sorry to hear about your bad back di, hope it improves soon.

Lovely day for a party in the park for the little one.

Take care all, have a great day, enjoy the sunshine

Morning all. I survived last night!!!

I arrived at school at 11.15pm, fumbled about to let myself in as the lights were off outside and found it looking like a ghost ship. Beds and stuff everywhere but not a person in sight. They (30 children, 3 teachers) arrived back 5 minutes later - they had been on a night time walk through the woods.

Hot chocolates and sausage rolls later they were all settled in their beds by 12pm and asleep by 12.30. The girls slept on the floor in the hall, the boys slept on the floor in the junior classroom. I found a nice quiet, dark spot in the infants classroom (those self inflating mattresses are rubbish - you may as well sleep on the floor!!), the head slept in the staff room on the comfy chairs (bad back she says to enable bagsying the best spot), Mr K slept on the floor in the heads office with the head enormous German Shepherd and the other teacher went home as she was off out early this morning.

We (me, the head and Mr K) got to bed at about 3am as we were busy printing off certificates for all the children. I heard the first child at about 6.20am and they were all up by 7am, dressed and breakfasted by 8am and then outside playing until they were collected at 9am.

I'm home for a quick shower before heading back to school for the summer fair this afternoon. I'm not involved in that at all but the choir the girls are in are singing at 12pm so I want to see that, will have a walk around the stalls and then head home for a snooze.

Later on this evening we need to get to the allotment as some plug plants arrived yesterday. Its far too hot to be up there during the day so I think I might nip up at around 8pm just to get the plants in and get everything watered.

Phew!
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone!

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here.............yeah :D :D :D :D

Washing on the go this morning. Thinking of going to the local carnival this afternoon, they set up a short walk from mother's CH so hopefully we can take her round for an hour or so.

Wishing you all a lovely day :D
