and a good morning to you all; stuck in the office - sigh...... slightly overcast still but meant to become nice and sunny and then stay like that for a good few days. Too exciting

Ally, I love a good holiday but I equally love being home so totally get what you're saying. Enjoy being back home with your loved ones, Paco's, the pool and the hill and not forgetting Herman!
Kate, so pleased that Barney is feeling a bit better. Milk thistle is quite amazing (and it reminds me I should get some for myself  ;) )
Kaz, hope you get a doctors appointment and that you feel better soon. And if nothing else get an afternoon snooze in - they always work wonders
Debih, good luck with the panel and the phone
Saundra, enjoy being in the garden - I'm jealous as I'd also rather be home and in the garden than suck in the office
Di, hope Minnie is OK today; it's so horrid when our pets are ill and we just don't know what to do. I can only imagine how emotionally exhausting this must be for you ((hug))
Loz and Ton, and not to leave you out in the individual replies - have a fab day both of you :D

Well I rang for one, but by the time I got through all today's slots had been filled, so I have to ring again tomorrow after 8am. Otherwise the soonest regular appt they could offer was the 11th  Oh for the days when you could just ring and say "I'd like to see the doctor" and you'd get the reply "Yes, how about 10.30 tomorrow morning?........." Now it's a bunfight of who can get through first after they open the phones...............

Sigh...................

it's terrible isn't it Kaz? It's almost as though they expect us to schedule our illnesses / not feeling well days around their appointment slots - it's just the oddest system.

Morning all.... it's brightening up here. :D

Our doctor's has the weirdest thing: ring for an appointment and if it sounds urgent (to the receptionist) you are put through to a doctor who then decides whether you should come in or not. That, to me, implies there are slots available. :?

Good morning, all.

Workingman - That doesn't sound such a bad idea to me.

Kate - I wish you hadn't mentioned Yahoo. I's a dirty word, as far as I'm concerned.
Yahoo have taken over Flickr and BT websites and bu88ered them up.
[A Yahoo is a legendary being in the novel Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift, who
describes them as being filthy and with unpleasant habits. I reckon he was dead right.]

Having said that, I hope you all have a pleasant day. I enjoyed my morning walk in the
park with Prince. It looks like being a fine day. Enjoy.

Morning all :D

Wet and overcast here, let's hope the forecasted sunny spell for the weekend actually arrives.

Glad to hear you're back home safe and sound Ally........even if you did take the sunshine with you  :-P

We've never had a problem getting an appointment at our surgery. We can usually get an appointment within a couple of days, they will only pre book a couple of weeks ahead, but that's okay for routine stuff. Otherwise we ring on the day, if most of the slots are gone the doctor rings back at an arranged time (they're always spot on) and if he/she decides you need to be seen that day you're given a slot later in the morning/afternoon towards the end of each session. We had a choice of two surgeries when we moved here and we're so pleased we picked this one, people are always moaning about the other surgery saying they wait for weeks to get in. Hope you manage to get an appointment soon kaz x

Yahoo isn't on my list of favourites either Aggers. We have a combined bundle with sky, phone, broadband, tv. They originally used google for e-mail, but suddenly switched to yahoo a while back and what a nightmare it was. Tbh it's still not anywhere as user friendly and I think they lost a lot of business because of it. Certainly the sky forum was overrun with complaints.

Nothing much planned for today.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good morning all, it's mostly sunny here and lovely and warm. Mr. Osc and I are going out in a while - he makes little videos at competitions and socials which everyone seems to like (like the one he did recently of Michael playing golf), and now one of the dance teachers who has recently qualified as a sports masseur has asked him to make one showcasing his new business, so we are heading out to do that. Then back home for a quiet evening to rest up before Michael comes tomorrow to stay the night ;) Have a great day everyone, and hope the poorly doggies show some improvement today.

Good afternoon everybody.
I did post to say I was having my second cup of tea when Kate first posted but it seems to have got lost. Hope I am not having the same trouble as Kate with her posts.
Glad to see you back Kate and Barney is nearly back to normal.
Regarding the dancing girls, is it possible to have a nobbly knees one for us men?

Ohh I ended up having a very nice massage at the hands of the delightful Sebastian as Mr. Osc took lots of photos and video :D Seb was keen for me to have a massage in return for the video being made so then it was decided that he would do my neck, shoulders and upper back while photos were taken to add into the video. Mind you, I vetoed most of them because I looked a bit like a beached whale   But there is no doubt that he has good hands and I would certainly recommend him to our friends. Mr. Osc is busy now putting it all together, while I am sitting here rather blissed out ;) ;)
