Honey, I'm home.

One of the best of the good days.

I have to say that it was like meeting old friends whose behaviours you had forgotten and had to catch up with all over again. It was like an explosion.... we just 'knew' each other immediately - BANG! There was no holding back, everyone threw themselves in right from the word go. Gal, you would have had no option but to get stuck in.

Rosie's pic of us at the dining table shows just about us all.

When we went downstairs a couple or three tables were rearranged so that we could remain a group..... and a really noticeable thing, and they will all back me up on this, if anyone left the room all they could hear was the laughter coming from our table. We started laughing at about 11:50 and didn't stop till bedtime. People laughed and talked and smiled and drank (a lot) sometimes all at the same time.

My head is not sore but I have a suspicion that I am still slightly drunk!

Could be, you were all knocking that white wine back
I was getting tipsy on the shandy's I was drinking... :D I would have been on a couple of brandies had I been home.
I thought Shell was in her late twenties after the fourth one until Kaz bless her filled me in! It was truly a day and night to remember, dear Frank was swamped by women
he looked quite happy!!
Seeing Rosemary again was a delight,
and the rest of the girls and boys.
The laughter filled the mammoth hall where we were imbibing.. A night to remember.
Great Gals, Great Night. Looking forward to the one in Wales girls.

meriad wrote:Well I got home shortly after 3pm and can only echo what everyone else has said - what an absolutely AMAZING bunch of people. I had such a fantastic time and cannot wait for the next one. The Premier Inn was amazing for what we paid; the Joint Stock just THE perfect place for such an event meet and the breakfast at the Briar Rose exactly what was needed this morning. Kate - did Barney eat the sausage at least ;)

I am actually quite astounded that my head wasn't sore this morning - I certainly did my best to ensure the wine industry was turning a profit; and I think I may have succeeded  and I think I did a fair job of keeping up with Ally :D :D :D

But best is Debih who was expecting me to turn up in a twin set and pearls       - that did make me giggle. I'll do my best to oblige when I come up your way for a visit; I'll borrow my mom's pearls!

Just a perfect perfect meet in every which way

Ria

No Ria not all of it, I ate half

From now on I shall insist everyone must have at least 4 shandy's before meeting me

Thank you lovely Kate who also looks 20 years younger than she is (I say also, but she really does)

and Frank yes, an explosion is just what it was

It really was such a great day. I'd not met any of you before but it really was like meeting old friends, which it was really wasn't it except it was face to face rather than on screen  Everyone is just so lovely, apart from one who is lovely and a total nutcase :P

Jo you really shouldn't speak about Ally like that. Or did you mean Ria - the total nutcase?
