Good morning Saturday

Postby pederito1 » 22 Jun 2013, 06:37

Morning all. Cold wet and windy here ie a typical summer day and now days are getting shorter. :( Am I downhearted ..er ...well frankly yes and hope I can find something to cheer me up in Lidl in a little while. Try to have a nice day everyone in spite of the weather, that is for those who are not languishing in lovely sunshine, those too of course with a green grin.

Morning all :D

It's been raining overnight, but looks like the sun's trying to come out.

Up early as I had a text from my brother yesterday, he's coming to stay for the weekend. He said he would set out after brekkie, goodness knows how early that is lol and will text me when he gets to Paddington to let me know what train he's on so I can meet him at our station. Will need to do a quick detour to M&S too as I've not got a lot of food in the house, we're having lunch at eldest daughter's tomorrow so I didn't bother with much food for today. We were planning to have something easy like oven fish and chips this evening. Better make more of an effort for my brother

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning everyone :) It's looking like a reasonable day here, fingers crossed for no rain as it's a Harry weekend and we'll be out later :)

We're off to a christening tomorrow, in Wraysbury, our old next door neighbour from Egham has a young baby now and we've been invited :) I've bought baby P a bound limited edition - no.654 of 1000 - of The Tailor of Gloucester by Beatrix Potter and a little pottery mouse "No more twist!!" from the actual Tailor of Gloucester museum and shop here by the cathedral :) I've also had a lovely card handmade, by a friend who makes gorgeous cards :) Really looking forward to it as J really knows how to throw a 'do' :D Hoping it doesn't rain, the forecast isn't great :?

Ally, Jen you have exciting weekends planned, have a great time. Jen it will be lovely to see your brother again - and thank heavens for M&S :D :D

Enjoy your shopping saundra xxxxx :)

Have a good day everyone :)

Morning all :)
The presents sound lovely Kaz :)
Jen it sounds as if you're quite pleased by the surprise, I agree M&S can be a godsend!
Ally will be well on her way by now, have a good time :)
Pederito hope you find something to cheer you up :)
Saundra it's very windy here and a bit chilly, showers due on and off.

On Monday though there's high pressure arriving - that means summery sunshiney weather :D
We have a youngest bonus; it's his birthday on Tuesday, and his mum's working tomorrow so Bb's collecting him around 6 tonight. Mince is defrosting for Bolognese, his absolute favourite :D
Kaz hope the weather's ok for you and H to get out and about :)
Have a good day all

Morning everyone

It's erm, blinkin' gorgeous here 8-) sorry to read about the bad weather over there.

Jen, have a great time with your brother, lots to catch up on xx Enjoy the time with your families over there too xx

We're on a roll, with the lotto :D For the 3rd week running, we've won a small amount  enough to pay for the next 3 months tickets. Would still like to be greedy and have a few extra noughts though   even if the government here take 20%  of anything over 5,000

Hope you all have a good day, whatever you're up to xx

Thanks Saundra, I hadn't a clue what to buy - a child can only have so many christening mugs lol - and then I remembered the Tailor's house and it seemed apt as we live in Gloucester now...........hope she likes them :)

The Tailor's museum/shop is well worth a visit for anyone who loves Beatrix Potter :)

Ooh Di how lovely, enjoy your 'bonus' weekend :D It's started raining here but it might blow over by lunchtime with any luck :) Ton the cyber drinks are on you then??? :D :D 8-) ;)

Oh it's not bad Ton :) The wind's very strong so whatever happens is blowing over quickly. We've had some lovely bright sunshine, and some not at all bright cloud, no rain so far. There was some overnight so the garden had a drink :)

I remembered to buy a Euromillions ticket but no email this morning so it doesn't look like we're £140million better off :D
