I've just done a quick google and it seems he's always had the basic idea for this one, so maybe it was 'back to basics' for him . I wasn't aware he had an accident....I went off reading for a good while, a good few years tbh, not long been back into it, but I have had some good books since then
I bought Bb Under the Dome in hardback for Christmas when it first came out. He said I'd enjoy it but I couldn't hold the damned thing That's why he bought me the kindle The first of his I read was a collection of short stories, some of them I still remember so well, and they still scare me Not all of his are actual horror though are they, Cell I really enjoyed
Debih yes it's because of the mother in law that I got cross with her too, best not give too much away though.
It's still well-written of course, but I was irritated from the start really, you can't begin to imagine how on earth she and he came to marry each other, or how anyone could name their children like that A bit of an oddity, but I shall finish it.

Me too Di. I finished it last night. I got to the point where I was thinking "oh ffs, just leave her in there".
I am not reading anything at the moment. I have This is how it ends by Kathleen McMahon which had rave reviews from Richard and Judy but I haven't been able to get into it. Although I listened to their podcast talking about the book last night and it has made me want to stick with it so I will be picking it up again later.
And I had a call from the library last night so will be going along to pick up more books today.
I'm just about to start The Red Queen by Phillipa Gregory, read The Lady of the Rivers a few weeks ago and although I couldn't get The White Queen (which is the next one) in the library, I thought I'd read the Red Queen anyway. Appetite whetted by the new tv series!
