Oh I'd love a boot/shoe room or cupboard!! Our front hallway is small and has no understairs cupboard, and they end up in the utility by the side of the washing machine - not very tidy but there are no cupboards downstairs in this house Nowhere to put a shoe rack even........Wouldn't be so bad if everyone would keep their shoes in their own rooms

Sometimes the bottom of the stairs is so full of boots and jackets you can't get up the stairs

That's true Di Our coat hooks are by the bottom of the stairs and that gets really over full sometimes and tends to bulge out over the lowest bit of the stairway (our stairs curve) - so I take the coats and jackets and dump them on the relevant beds!
