Oh I love having people to stay :D

It was quite difficult for us to change the second bedroom as that had the double bed and was a nice room to stay in. But the boys got so big even just youngest couldn't remain in the little room, so the 2nd bedroom now has the split bunk beds and their stuff in.
It could still be somewhere for others to stay if I got another set of bedding, but not so nice.

Poll,
Mrs.e had here blood pressure taken earlier this year with one of the new electronic machines. It gave high readings and told the nurse that she did not agree with them and wanted another test with the old type of equipment. So a week later she went back and the results were normal and had not changed when they were done two years ago. We wonder how many people are given the wrong results from the new equipment.

yeah Cruiser I agree that the new electronic machines are not reliable - my BP was taken with the old fashioned sphig' so spot on, the GP does use the electronic ones, but I wonder how often, if ever, these things are calibrated???!! I think I just have high BP - I will get round to making an appointment......

When I take BP's I try and always use a sphig' and stethoscope, I am thankful to my first hospital placement as they didn't use electronic ones, I had no other option but to learn quickly how to do it properly.

Poll :)

I trained as a nurse back in the old days when we only ever used a sphig. Tricky at first, but a doddle once you got the hang of it. I'm glad they are still being used.

yeah once you get the hang of it, they are fab!

I had the job of teaching a 1st year student to use one when I was in 2nd year - he did not have a clue, and just could not 'hear' what he was supposed to, that was hard work lol!!

I much prefer the 'old fashioned' way ;)

Well I hope you lot are getting warm weather as it has gone really cold here. Last week was highs of 22, yesterday it was 6. we had multiple hail showers all day, and thunder and lightening. My backyard was beginning to resemble a lake.

Missey has a runny nose and been coughing all night, so everything today has been cancelled, her Kindy has had a couple of cases of hand foot and mouth reported this week, so ill keep her at home just in case she has picked it up.

So, today, now that I have nothing planned, what to do? Washing, ironing, food and entertainment I guess.
