Well how about this then

My ticket to meet Ally in Coventry is £15.40 and takes 33 mins

My ticket to meet you in Birmingham is £13.10 and goes through Coventry and takes an hour.

So my thinking is I will buy a ticket to Birmingham and get on and off in Coventry

How stoopid is that

That is a super price from Malaga, Ally, prices are crazy and I dont know how you girls find such cheap trains. I would love to come to Brum but they wanted £348 for an unrestricted return. :( I will drive anywhere but shrink a bit from the centre of Brum. I know Dools did it for the first ever meet there in the dim and distant but I think she got a bit lost finding the car park and I do not have a passenger or a SatNav. So will try to pluck up courage, car has its second MOT on 30 May so fingers crossed for that too. 8-)

My adoption money has just been paid in so I will make sure I get it done this week.

:D :D :D

I wonder what'll work out cheaper, your train ticket or Ally's flight

Don is flying over 12 days before me and his flight was 90 euros more.

He must have got the tail end   of the Whitsun holiday.

My flight would've only been 30 but I paid 7 for priority boarding.

Flight prices are crazy in how they fluctuate like that aren't they!
Maybe parents wouldn't take their children out of school for term time holidays if prices were fairer during holiday times...

Shell, how crazy is that?? Good thinking on your part though! :D

Tom suggested the other week that he and I should have a day out in London when he's finished school after his exams so I had a look and paid £24, and that's £24 for returns for both of us, not each!

Pederito have a look at the advice on here for train tickets, and maybe reconsider the unrestricted return, you could have a pretty good guess at when you'd want to go back?

The cheapest for mine has been £64 for a long time  It's not that bad since it costs that for Bb when he has to go to London, which is repaid thank goodness.

Don't.........they will make you pay for the home to Coventry one all over again if they look at the ticket. My daughter was on a trip from Cornwall back to London but it was easier for us to pick her up at one of the stops on the way. I had this thought in the back of my mind that it was not allowed so I rang and checked. Unfortunately it is not allowed. I asked what they would do if she was sick and had to get off the train and they told me she would have to pay from Falmouth to wherever she got off the train!!!

So they wouldn't just make me pay the difference?

Don't think so. Ring them and check. The rules may have changed since it happened to my youngest.
