Is that the field of nursing you'd want to go into when you qualify?

I think you'd be great in community nursing - my MIL used to be a District Nurse and loved it x

The district nurse who came to me was absolutely lovely and brilliant at her job, it's a terrific thing to do

Yeah I think it is where I want to be, I chose 'tissue viability' as my option module for 3rd year as I know this is a huge part of community nursing

Years ago it was only district nurses in the community but now they have district nurses, community staff nurses and auxilaries, so fingers crossed for me xxx I love it I have enjoyed all my placements in hospital wards etc but really love community nursing.

That's great Poll How long now until you qualify? Must be very very nearly there

11 weeks Kaz this placement is 12 weeks long and takes me up to the very end, started last week.

I then have a few weeks off - going on hols the course officially ends 1st September but my last day at uni is 2nd August

Can't believe it, and don't think I will believe it until Friday 2nd August at the 'farewell lunch' at uni!
