Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 13 Nov 2024, 05:53

Good morning.

Off for my walk shortly as we're forecast rain on and off all day from 10am. :cute: :cute:

I'll use this as a reason to finally put the duvet on the bed.

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny, but cold. 8C outside  "Warming up" to 16C later

Wet stuff forecast, off and on, from tonight for the next 10 days.

Off to Ourique, later than usual, as Grumpy has an appointment to see the nurse at the Centro de Saude at 11.30. Why they've made an appointment I have no idea, but we'll rock up just before. It's only to clean both areas and stick clean dressings on.

The off to do the supermarkets, back for a coffee, then I'll head out and do another couple of hours outside.

Jorge is coming this afternoon, with the second load of wood :Hi: So that's us sorted for the winter :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s a foggy one.

Joe’s staying at Jade’s for a couple of days and John’s on his way to Sunderland for a site meeting, he’ll be back tonight. I’ll go for a walk shortly.

Have a good day all :D

A quiet day for you then, Jo xx

An early start here for us as B starts her job today :D That meant Daisy was up and active from 6.45, which meant we were too  I'm going to town to meet up with my friend J, might have a look round for Christmas stuff, or I might not ;) Ironing to do later.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all, another sunny cold day, I do like this weather, the air is so fresh after the muggy gloom of the past few weeks. I have a list of assorted stuff to do - case down from the attic, preparing more things to go away, getting Edward’s prescriptions, taking out money, wrapping Michael’s birthday present (we’ll be away on the actual day), buying writing and posting off a birthday card to a friend, moving a button on a pair of Edward’s trousers. Small things but they all take time. I’m also expecting an order from Holland and Barrett to be delivered. This afternoon, I know Edward wants to do a bit of work on a new dance.

Kaz, good luck to B on her first day - I must have missed it, what job did she get in the end? We’ve had our winter duvet on since September!

Morning all :D

Rain

Kaz good luck to Becky on her first day.

I loved the film yesterday and think the mixed reviews are because of a poor marketing decision to bring it out now. It's most definitely a Christmas film and would do so much better if it was out for the upcoming school holiday. We came out feeling very upbeat and happy.

We're popping out in the next hour or so. We need to replace our outdoor Christmas lights. Ed tested them a few days ago and there are quite a few bulbs out, they can't be replaced so new lights it is. We might get some new tree lights too, the current ones are still working, but I'd like a set with more bulbs.

Hope you all have a good day xx

There is a bitterly cold wind outside, so I'll be doing some cooking instead

Grumpy has his bandage off and I counted 11 or 12 stitches  Much bigger than we thought. They can come out on Monday, but another week or so for the one's on his back. No idea why.

Osc, it’s at a local Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust centre, at Robinswood Hill, on the edge of the city. It’s a nature reserve, on the side of a big hill. Front desk (reception) and office admin :) xx
